Secara khusus kegiatan ini memberikan peningkatan terhadap Mitra yang meliputi; (1) peningkatan pemahaman Guru mengenai bahan praktikum yang berasal dari sampah; (2) peningkatan kemampuan Guru dalam mengidentifikasi jenis sampah yang bisa dijadikan sebagai bahan dalam membuat karya montase, kolase, dan mozaik; (3) peningkatan pengetahuan Guru untuk memahami pengertian, konsep, dan proses pembuatan karya montase, kolase, dan mozaik; dan (4) mengasah dan meningkatkan keterampilan Guru dalam membuat karya montase, kolase, dan mozaik. We performed spin-polarized density functional theory (DFT) to investigate the structural, electr... more We performed spin-polarized density functional theory (DFT) to investigate the structural, electronic, and magnetic properties of silicon-(Si-) doped monolayer boron nitride (BN). e present study revealed that structural parameters like bond length, bond angle, and lattice parameters increase as Si-doped in the B site of monolayer BN. However, the bandgap of monolayer BN is reduced in the presence of the Si dopant. Moreover, the obtained magnetic moment and analysis of the total density of states (TDOS) show that Si-doped monolayer BN displays ferromagnetism. e calculated ferromagnetic transition temperature (Tc) value for Si concentration of 12.5% is 476 K which exceeds room temperature. e findings are avenues to enhance the application of monolayer BN for spintronics.

The development of the Context Learning Model is carried out through Research Development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall Model which is grouped into 4 stages, namely, the preliminary stage, planning and development, evaluation and revision, and dissemination. The instrument used was a validation sheet to test the feasibility of the mode and the response sheet to be filled out by the teacher. The contextual learning model that can be used to improve the multiple intelligence of early childhood is validated by one expert in Educational Technology and one Early Childhood Education Expert and shows that the learning model is very valid with an average value of 5.02. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of project method on the children's co... more This study aims to determine the effect of the application of project method on the children's confidence aged 5-6 years at TK Santa Lusia Medan. Design of this study is true experimental design in the form of post-test only control. The population were all kindergarten children B at Santa Lusia Medan, consisting of 4 classes and total number 130 children. Results of data analysis obtained the average value of children who use the project method (matching geometric shapes) of children's confidence is (14.16) with the highest value of 16 and the lowest value of 12. While the average value of children who use the demonstration method (matching geometric form) of children's confidence (11.19) with the highest value 12 and the lowest value 9. It was concluded that children's confidence is better to use the project method to the child's self-confidence than children who use the demonstration method. From the hypothesis test, can be said that there is an influence of the application of the project method on the ability of children's confidence.

This type of research is descriptive research because it reveals the situation as it is. This research was conducted by providing a questionnaire about habits of mind in the 5th semester of the Early Childhood Creativity Development Method subject to see the profile of students' habits of minds. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal literasi sains berdasarkan PISA 2009. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan bulan April 2019. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IX SMP Islam As-Shofa Kota Pekanbaru dengan teknik pengambilan sampel dengan mengggunakan propotional strtified sampling sehingga sampel dikelompokan berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan akademik tinggi, sedang dan rendah dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 135 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kemampuan literasi sains siswa SMP Islam as-Shofa Kota Pekanbaru kategori rendah dengan persentase 56,86%. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of parenting type in the family of Ba... more The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of parenting type in the family of Batak, Minang, Malay, Javanese, Acehnese, and Nias in Medan. Patterns to be analysed are authoritarian, democratic, and permissive parenting. This analysis will provide an overview of the application of the type of parenting in the family based on ethic culture that lies behind the family. The sample in this study are families from the tribes of Batak, Minang, Malay, Javanese, Aceh, and Nias which is live in the city of Medan. This study used descriptive method. The result showed that the average family of Batak, Minang Malay, Javanese, Aceh, and Nias in Medan applied 46% authoritarian parenting, democratic 83%, and 35% permissiveness.

This study aims to map students' thesis on Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Program (P... more This study aims to map students' thesis on Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Program (PG PAUD) UNIMED FIP from 2011 to 2015. This type of research is quantitative research with a bibliomteric approach. The object of the research is in the form of a thesis for undergraduate students of teacher education programs for early childhood education (PG-PAUD). Data processing methods are carried out through stages (1) data collection, conducted by focusing on aspects of research topics, research subjects, types and methods of research, analysis techniques and references (2) data entry; (3) data analysis; (4) make tabulations according to observation requirements; and (5) descriptive interpretation. The results show that the topic of the most independent variables that appear most frequently in student theses over the past 5 years is the topic of play, which is as much as 32%. The topic of the free variables used so far varies greatly. Cognitive abilities and interpersonal abilities become topics of dependent variables that often appear, but are still in a small category. The topic of the independent and dependent variables for PG-PAUD research is still much that needs to be studied and studied further. The type of research that dominates the PG-PAUD FIP UNIMED thesis during the last five years is Classroom Action Research (CAR) and experiments, each of which appears as much as 44.9%. Other types of research have not been widely carried out. The research subjects used in PG-PAUD students' thesis almost all (80.8%) are children aged 5-6 years (group B), while children aged 4-5 years (group A), PAUD teachers, parents who having early childhood and first grade elementary school students is only a small part of the subject of PG-PAUD thesis research.

The aim of this research is to describe facebook utilization in peer assessment online to assess ... more The aim of this research is to describe facebook utilization in peer assessment online to assess pupil's scientific attitude on laboratory report of environment pollution, to explain the benefit and the weakness, and also to get information about student's and teacher's response about peer assessment online by facebook. Collecting data are done by observation, questionnaire, interview, and documentation. The instruments which used were analysis form of implementation facebook utilization in peer assessment online, rubrict peer assessment to assess pupil's scientific attitude, questionnaire, and manual teacher interview. The result show that many of pupil's scientific attitude can be assessed by peer assessment online with utilization of facebook. The main weakness of facebook utilization in peer assessment online are technical problem such as unfluent internet network and a hacker. Benefits are free of time, low cost relatively, and comfortable in assess. The conclusion of this research is facebook can be used for peer assessment online to assess pupil's scientific attitude.
