This study aimed to understand the influence of consumer-brand engagement and brand communication... more This study aimed to understand the influence of consumer-brand engagement and brand communication on destination brand equity, survey to maritime tourism of Ujung Kulon and Anak Krakatau, Banten. The population chosen in this study is the Instagram followers of Ujung Kulon and Krakatau Banten.The total of the samples are 96 respondents chosen using purposive sampling. This study used inferential statistic tests, which were divided into two: The correlation Test and Linear Regression Test. This study used a correlational survey method Approach. This research used a quantitative approach and a positivist paradigm. The results showed that the use of Instagram is successful in creating destination brand equity because the entertainment and interaction dimension provided a strong effect on the loyalty dimension of the destination brand equity variable. People who are online and following the Instagram account became loyal because the pictures posted gave entertainment value, joy, and relaxation effect. The interaction between the followers and admin of the account of Maritime Tourism of Ujung Kulon and Anak Krakatau, Banten also added the entertainment value. This study provides new contributions regarding the promotion of maritime tourism destinations through theories about brand engagement, brand equity, and brand communication.

The research aims are to identify and to analyze the activity of political consultant. Unit analy... more The research aims are to identify and to analyze the activity of political consultant. Unit analysis of this research is the media news concerning the activities of Lingkaran Survey Indonesia (LSI) political consultant during presidential election campaign on the first round on 2009. The research shows: LSI published 3 researches. LSI target are: 1) demography are grassroots. 2) geography are located in DKI Jakarta, Jawa Barat, Banten, Jawa Tengah, Jawa Timur, Sumatera Utara, Sulawesi Selatan. 3) the psychographys are: silent majority and swing voter (they did not know who will be elected as president yet). Marketing mix: 1) pull marketing strategy through Perhimpunan Peduli Indonesia (PPI) with 2.800 volunteer. 2) push marketing strategy by advertising and press conference. Conclusion: 1) Campaign the political processes ethically are not allowed. 2) LSI not informed from the beginning that they were SBY-Boediono political consultant. 3) Presidential election campaign on the first round are the consultant strategy to win their client on campaign. Not civil society movement, as they campaigned.

This research proves that the social learning theory is effective to promote a campaign with film, which results in behavioral changes in society. The theory used in this research is Albert Bandura's social learning theory. This research utilized the positivistic paradigm. This research employed a survey explanatory method and quantitative approach. The population was Senior High school Students at SMAN 2 Tangerang. The sampling utilize a purposive sampling technique to 100 respondents, with a sampling error of 5%. The technique of data analysis utilized a simple regression analysis. The hypothesis how that there is no influence between the content of the "A Plastic Ocean" film on environmental care attitudes on students. High school students are interested in the film, while the attitude of caring for the environment is not influenced by the film.

The tremendous growth of cyber media in Indonesia, followed by the development of online media, has made people more careful in choosing online media. Meanwhile, the use and gratification theory states that the most important role of media is to meet people's needs and motivations, how certain media are sought and selected to meet their needs. This study uses a survey method through a quantitative approach positivistic. The sample was determined by an accidental sampling technique with a sample of 115 respondents. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Square analysis with the SmartPLS version 3 program. The data analysis shows that the quality of information has a significant effect on increasing trust in CNNIndonesia.com media, the quality of information has a significant effect in increasing the decision to choose CNNIndonesia.com media, and trust has a significant effect in increasing the decision to choose CNNIndonesia.com media. This study also found that the trust variable was able to mediate the effect of information quality on the decision to choose CNNIndonesia.com media.

This research aims to determine the extent to which teenagers distinguish true news from fake new... more This research aims to determine the extent to which teenagers distinguish true news from fake news and how these fake news affect adolescents'cognition. A lot of hoax information has sprung up on social media, especially during the 2019 Indonesian presidential election. The ability to check on the information spread in online media is influenced by each individual's cognitive abilities. A person's cognitive ability is to think rationally, including aspects of knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. This study used an explanative survey method with a quantitative positivistic paradigm. The results showed that the most influencing X variable to the Y variable was the Satire variable, which is positive and unidirectional. The Hoax variable has the most influence on cognitive abilities, even though the value is negative and not unidirectional. This means, the lower the understanding of Hoax, the higher the level of cognitive abilities.

A quantitative exploratory survey with the positivist paradigm is employed in this study. Data are collected by distributing a questionnaire to 100 Public Relations students as the sample chosen by the purposive sample technique. Then, data are analyzed using simple linear regression. The results show that all respondents are in the category of having high anti-corruption values behavior. However, the correlation between their understanding and anti-corruption values is moderate, while the correlation between their understanding and corruptive behavior is low. Based on the data above, this study concludes that the impact of understanding the anti-corruption values on anti-corruption and corruptive behavior is not significant and categorized as weak. The focus of this research is to determine the effect of social media contents on the image of "A... more The focus of this research is to determine the effect of social media contents on the image of "Aksi Cepat Tanggap" (ACT) by using uses and effect theory. The method use is a quantitative survey with questionnaire data collection to followers of ACT's Facebook and Instagram accounts, also supported with related literature. The number of respondents were 100 people each representatively. Research Results: the majority of followers of ACT social media accounts are in the productive age group. The message on ACT's Facebook account is known to affect the image in the public eye by 76.7%, whereas in Instagram's account, the message content affects the image by 83.7%. The rest, the variables that influence are not examined. In a Facebook account, the message format does not significantly affect ACT's image, while on Instagram, the overall dimensions of the message content affect ACT's image in the public eye.

Many efforts have been made to increase the number of tourists visiting. One of the tourist destinations that once entered the 7 (seven) wonders of the world is Taj-Mahal. The palace was made for 22 years by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his empress. With such conditions, India is one of the tourist destinations that are worth visiting. In addition to the king's palace, India has a different culture from Indonesia. Meanwhile, along with the development of communication technology, the number of YouTube content containing documentation about culture is increasing. YouTube viewers are also increasing in number dayly. One YouTube video of documentation of Indian culture, is entitled Rape is consensual: Inside Haryana's Rape Culture, which will be an instrument as a treatment to see if there is a difference in interest in visiting India before and after watching the YouTube video. This study uses quantitative research methods by distributing questionnaires to 58 Mercu Buana University students who were selected purposively. That study aims to find out whether there are differences in interests between before and after watching YouTube content. The results showed that even though there was a decrease in the mean value from 12.121 (before treatment) to 10.345 (after treatment), the calculation of the t value calculated was 5.092 while the t-table value for the two-tailed test (Two Tail) was 2.002. The t value calculated is greater than the t-table value, so it can be concluded that there is no difference in traveling interest to India before and after watching the YouTube video.

The research uses public opinion, agenda setting models, and the spiral of silence to analyze opinions and topics discussed by Mega influencers, Macro influencers, Micro influencers, and Nano influencers. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive content analysis method. Research data obtained using NVivo with the keyword religious moderation. Research results: Most of the public opinion of influencers on twitter are positive. In the account of the nano-influencer, 11 accounts have a negative tone, and 1 account has a neutral tone regarding religious moderation. A quantitative exploratory survey with the positivist paradigm is employed in this study. Data are collected by distributing a questionnaire to 100 Public Relations students as the sample chosen by the purposive sample technique. Then, data are analyzed using simple linear regression. The results show that all respondents are in the category of having high anti-corruption values behavior. However, the correlation between their understanding and anti-corruption values is moderate, while the correlation between their understanding and corruptive behavior is low. Based on the data above, this study concludes that the impact of understanding the anti-corruption values on anti-corruption and corruptive behavior is not significant and categorized as weak. The focus of this research is to determine the effect of social media contents on the image of "A... more The focus of this research is to determine the effect of social media contents on the image of "Aksi Cepat Tanggap" (ACT) by using uses and effect theory. The method use is a quantitative survey with questionnaire data collection to followers of ACT's Facebook and Instagram accounts, also supported with related literature. The number of respondents were 100 people each representatively. Research Results: the majority of followers of ACT social media accounts are in the productive age group. The message on ACT's Facebook account is known to affect the image in the public eye by 76.7%, whereas in Instagram's account, the message content affects the image by 83.7%. The rest, the variables that influence are not examined. In a Facebook account, the message format does not significantly affect ACT's image, while on Instagram, the overall dimensions of the message content affect ACT's image in the public eye.

A lot of hoax information has sprung up on social media, especially during the 2019 Indonesian presidential election. The ability to check on the information spread in online media is influenced by each individual’s cognitive abilities. A person’s cognitive ability is to think rationally, including aspects of knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. This study used an explanative survey method with a quantitative positivistic paradigm. The results showed that the most influencing X variable to the Y variable was the Satire variable, which is positive and unidirectional. The Hoax variable has the most influence on cognitive abilities, even though the value is negative and not unidirectional. This means, the lower the understanding of Hoax, the higher the level of cognitive abilities.

Many efforts have been made to increase the number of tourists visiting. One of the tourist destinations that once entered the 7 (seven) wonders of the world is Taj-Mahal. The palace was made for 22 years by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his empress. With such conditions, India is one of the tourist destinations that are worth visiting. In addition to the king's palace, India has a different culture from Indonesia. Meanwhile, along with the development of communication technology, the number of YouTube content containing documentation about culture is increasing. YouTube viewers are also increasing in number dayly. One YouTube video of documentation of Indian culture, is entitled Rape is consensual: Inside Haryana's Rape Culture, which will be an instrument as a treatment to see if there is a difference in interest in visiting India before and after watching the YouTube video. This study uses quantitative research methods by distributing questionnaires to 58 Mercu Buana University students who were selected purposively. That study aims to find out whether there are differences in interests between before and after watching YouTube content. The results showed that even though there was a decrease in the mean value from 12.121 (before treatment) to 10.345 (after treatment), the calculation of the t value calculated was 5.092 while the t-table value for the two-tailed test (Two Tail) was 2.002. The t value calculated is greater than the t-table value, so it can be concluded that there is no difference in traveling interest to India before and after watching the YouTube video.

This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive content analysis method. Research data obtained using NVivo with the keyword religious moderation. Research results: Most of the public opinion of influencers on twitter are positive. The research shows: LSI published 3 researches. LSI target are: 1) demography are grassroots. 2) geography are located in DKI Jakarta, Jawa Barat, Banten, Jawa Tengah, Jawa Timur, Sumatera Utara, Sulawesi Selatan. 3) the psychographys are: silent majority and swing voter (they did not know who will be elected as president yet). Marketing mix: 1) pull marketing strategy through Perhimpunan Peduli Indonesia (PPI) with 2.800 volunteer. 2) push marketing strategy by advertising and press conference.
