Hey guys! My name is Sarahjane, and I can see that people haven't posted in a little while.Anyway, as an introduction, I'm an NCCJ Intern for my highschool in the Utah region. I love this work so much...It's my passion. Our Unitown just took place over October 6-9th, and going back as staff is so different. I adored my delagate camp, but this was even better. (:If you would like, feel free to add me as a friend. I love meeting new people. (:

everytown is a livejournal community for people who have gone to Everytown/Anytown, anywhere, anywhen. It will feature a new discussion point weekly, and every member is welcome to bring up any and all Everytown/Anytown-related problems they might have, whether it be confronting heterosexism in school to someone being anti-Everytown/Anytown to... well. You know what I mean<3

Judy Shepard“The Legacy of Matthew Shepard”October 6 at 7pm in the Special Events CenterCo-sponsored by PRIDE Alliance, the USF Council on Issues of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (CISOGI), and the Gay and Lesbian Alumni Association (GALA)The brutal murder of 21 year-old college student Matthew Shepard shocked the world in 1998. In the wake of his death, his parents, Dennis and Judy Shepard, established a foundation dedicated to preventing anti-gay hate and to working toward equality for people of all sexual orientations. In 1999, Judy Shepard testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee in support of the Hate Crimes Prevention Act. From the perspective of a mother, she speaks to audiences across the nation about what they can do as individuals and communities to make the world a more accepting place for everyonex-posted

hi yall its me again...knowing that many of you are from alabama...which is not only in the bible belt...also it is in the heart of the deep south, and other southern states...i would like to know your opinion on the confederate flag...the reason i ask this is because i was asked in another livejournal community to create a a confederate...being in nccj, and being a person of color (im indian), i wanted to know what ya'll thought...even though i live in charlotte, which althoug, in the past 15 years has improved greatly is nonetheless a southern city which serves sweet tea, and is apart of the Bible Belt...i told this person that even though i had grown up in the south i would feel uncomfortable making a layout...although i have had friends tell me that the confederate flag does not represent slavery etc..but simply the heritage of the south...i just want to know what ya'll think, even if you arent from the south
