(Well, I was hooked before I started watching, as I've been watching this season, but it's fun seeing how it all started)These are character observations on Season 1 compared to Season 4, and questions/complaints about some plot holes from Season 1. I've seen a few random episodes from Season 2, a few at the end of Season 3 (Iced through Hiatus Part II) and all of Season 4 - but there are some rather large gaps in my watching.Because I started watching late, aside from random IM's here and there I haven't been able to discuss the show much! So please talk to me - I'm really interested in character development! I haven't read a lot of fic, but the fic I read has been excellent! So 2 Fic Recs for you -- Paternity Test (Gen) by inlovewithnight and Impasse (PG-13, Kevin/Scotty) by romanticalgirl.(8) The Nine (last weeks) - It's still moving slow, and I still really want to like it, and thinking that is still keeping me watching. (and yes, I realize this isn't a ringing endorsement) I just wish it would speed up a bit. I love Lucas and Lizzie. A lot. My knee had finally heeled from the last trip and fall accident and I fell down the bottom of my front steps today. Landed on the same knee! (Thankfully, I didn't rip my pants this time) but I re skinned the knee and added a nice new bruise and bump.(2) Rain! It needs to stop raining! My puppy does NOT like the rain. She's rather prissy about it.In TV News:(1) The Unit - A and I cut The Unit out when House came back (we're planning on catching re-runs), but I caught an episode last night while I was waiting for A to come home. And I can't pinpoint one specific reason, but it's just not as good as it used to be.(2) Grey's Anatomy - I'm very meh about this show now. Parts of it are hysterical, but it's not very convincing as medical drama (not that it ever really was), but still, you would think they would make a little more effort. (3) The Nine - Why aren't more people watching this show? Really? I know it's on after Lost, and people don't want to think that hard again, but you don't have to! It has Kim Raver, Tim Daly, Chi McBride, John Billingsly, Scott Wolf, the Dad from American Dreams, the chick who was Carter's love interest on ER a few seasons ago (Lourdes Bsomething). John Billingsly is fantastic, one of the best new characters on TV. (4) The Office - ( Spoilers Collapse )(5) NCIS - I have such a crush on McGee! ( Spoilers Collapse )(6) Numb3rs - I fell asleep twice during this episode. I was reading technosage's review, and I have to go back there to comment, but I agree with a lot of what she said. I hope it sticks around for a while because I think its a show I really could love.(3) Numb3rs As much as I complain about this show, I really do like it, the problem is, first season I loved it. I was reading reviews on TV Squad, about Provenance, and I found this one line that pretty much sums up my feelings for the show It was good (Numb3rs always is), but you've seen this one before.(4) The Unit We're a week behind - which should say something. Last weeks episode was good, but nothing special. ( Spoilers for The Kill Zone Collapse )(5) Gilmore Girls Surprisingly, I didn't care that I missed last weeks episode. I feel like this is going to be a repeat of my reviews above where I say, the show was good, but not great. For the few episodes I've seen, I'm watching them on the DVD with commentary. I'm really looking forward to next week. The cast is a fantastic who's who of 90's TV! ( Spoilers Collapse )(7) Lost - I wasn't planning on watching this, I generally save up the episodes and marathon them, but then Project Runway didn't come through (we lost signal for part of it) so I watched it. It was good, but I will never get deeply into this show. There is just way too much going on, and honestly I don't care enough to try and sort it all out. However, ( Spoilers Collapse )(8) This would be Gilmore Girls but do to human error it didn't get Tivo'd. (9) Eureka - For those who haven't heard the wonderful news - it's been renewed! Yay! The season finale was fantastic, and I'm sad we have to wait until next summer to get more. We still have to watch Boston Legal, Project Runway, The Unit, and CSI: NY. There is too much good TV on! So I started looking for fic, (mostly Abby/McGee, but you know me, I'll read anything.) And I came across a fic that was NC-17 and only 78 words. I'm at work, so I can't open it, but I would think that has to just be 78 words of filthiness given the length and the rating! And I found a few other cringe worthy things, so yeah, I'm done blindly looking for fic. I know I have a lot of NCIS people on my flist, so where is the good fic?* Rec me! I'll take any pairing or gen (preferably het). I've seen a grand total of 2.5 episodes, but I don't care about spoilers.
