This research aims to explore if the economic and educational conditions as well as the place of ... more This research aims to explore if the economic and educational conditions as well as the place of residence and the political preferences affect the vote of the people in the General Elections of 2011. What we did is to analyze if there are statistically significant relationships to assert that the electoral preferences of Peruvian population are affected by this two dimensions: their socioeconomic situation and their political choices. The research included the comparative analysis between the first and second elections to see if these relationships changed. To do this we see the how the variables moved related to the vote of each candidate in function of the results of these two elections. The results could be interpreted in many ways that could enrich the discussion about the electoral behavior and the conditions that affect the peruvian population vote.
