Hereditary enamel hypoplasia or amelogenesis imperfecta is a complex inherited rare condition reported in the literature,
the focus of which has been more on the diagnostic aspect. Very little has been actually reported on the management of the
condition especially in adults. The aim of this article in the form of a clinical case report is to present a comprehensive review
of literature for amelogenesis imperfecta along with management of the condition in an adult patient with all the clinically
relevant information that will be useful for many who treat this condition. Clinical and technical procedures involved during
full mouth rehabilitation of patients requiring an increase in vertical dimensions of occlusion is also described

Introduction: Patient satisfaction in dental prosthetics starts with a better programmation of the treatment plan, which
requires a good knowledge of the real needs and demands of patients regarding prosthetic treatment.
The aim of this study was to describe the needs and demands of prosthetic treatment in the population followed in the
prosthetic department within Casablanca’s Dental Consultation and Treatment Center (DCTC).
Material and Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional epidemiological study was conducted in the department of prosthetics of Casablanca’s DCTC using a modified World Health Organization (WHO) questionnaire, 457 patients of both sexes were examined over a 2 months period.
Results: The study showed the following results:
- From a general epidemiological point of view, women are more likely to attend the DCTC than men with a consultation
rate of 60%. Most subjects are young with an age range between 35 and 44 years. The establishment of the Medical Assistance Plan of the Economically Deprived at DCTC attracts patients with low economic income.
- Clinical data showed that the function is the main reason behind consultation with 51.6% of applications. More than
65.4% of the subjects have never worn prosthesis in the maxilla and 77.5% in the mandible, mainly because of lack of
information or lack of financial resources. Among rehabilated patients, those with removable dentures were most frequently
found.
An increased total and partial denture despite interest rates need is noted.
Conclusion: Using the results of this study would help to establish a health program that takes into account the specific
request of the population followed the DCTC to meet their important needs dentures.

The purpose of this study was to compare the retention of circlet (E) clasps and back-action clasps against three abutment surface materials during long-term simulation of attachment and detachment. Forty-eight test models were constructed by placing premolars (natural abutments or metal dies) inside metal blocks to test different abutment retention surface materials (sound enamel, composite resin, and glass-ceramic; 16 each). The models were duplicated into investment models for construction of circlet (E) and back-action clasps. Removal and insertion cycling of clasps was carried out for 250, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000, and 16,000 cycles. The retention of each clasp was measured before cycling and after each interval. Data were analyzed using 1-way-ANOVA, 2-way-ANOVA, and Mann-Whitney U tests. No significant differences in retention of either clasp were found between the three abutment material surfaces; however, there was a significant decrease in retention force of the circlet (E) clasp between 1000 and 2000 cycles but not of the back-action clasp. (1) The back-action clasp maintains its retention force for a longer period than the circlet (E) clasp. (2) Composite resin contouring of teeth provided retention comparable to enamel and a ceramic material.

Fifty-three years ago, M. M. House devised a classification of patients on the basis of how they behaved in response to the prospect of becoming edentulous and on how they subsequently adapted to wearing complete dentures. Although House's system was an important contribution, it failed to consider the dentist's emotional reaction to a patient's behavior as part of an understanding

In edentulous individuals, flabby ridges are prevalent. In these individuals, insufficient retention and stability of a full denture are common issues. Because of its flexible tissue treatment option in such circumstances. The adoption of a liquid-supported denture in an individual with a totally edentulous maxillary arch with flabby tissue in the anterior area opposing a completely edentulous area, a liquid supported denture allows for improved stress transmission and thus gives an alternative mandibular arch is described in this case report. Esthetics were also enhanced by customising the dentures to fit the patient's lip colour.

Occlusal load has frequently been suggested to be involved in the development of a noncarious cervical lesion (NCL). However, there is a lack of clinical studies evaluating NCLs and occlusal parameters in sleep bruxism (SB) subjects. The purpose of this clinical study was to assess the frequency of NCLs and determine potential occlusal differences between SB subjects and healthy control subjects.A total of 91 volunteers, 58 women and 33 men, with a mean (SD) age of 28.37 (4.89) years (range of 20 to 39 years), participated in this investigation. The clinical assessment of SB was based on the criteria of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. The participants were divided into 2 groups; 58 subjects were assigned to the SB group and 33 subjects to the control group, following a thorough dental examination that was performed by a single trained dentist. Additionally, the following parameters were recorded: mean number of teeth present, existence/absence of NCLs, frequency of NCLs relating to the type of tooth, type of occlusal guidance scheme, existence of a slide from centric occlusion (CO) to maximum intercuspation (MI), length of the slide, and report of tooth hypersensitivity. Group differences were statistically analyzed using chi-square tests for the qualitative variables and Mann-Whitney U tests for the quantitative variables (α=.05).NCLs were significantly more prevalent in SB subjects (39.7%) than in the control subjects (12.1%) (P=.006). In SB subjects, the first premolars were the teeth most affected, and in control subjects, the first molars were most affected. Tooth hypersensitivity was reported in 62.1% of the SB subjects and in 36.4% of the control subjects (P=.018). The evaluation of occlusal guidance schemes revealed no significant difference between the groups. In SB subjects (70.7%), a slide from CO to MI was significantly more prevalent than in control subjects (42.4%) (P=.008). Moreover, SB subjects demonstrated a significantly longer mean (SD) slide of 0.77 (0.69) mm compared to that of control subjects of 0.4 (0.57) mm (P=.008).Within the limitations of this study, SB subjects demonstrated significantly more NCLs than the control group; whereas, the type of occlusal guidance scheme seems to be of minor importance in the development of NCLs.

This paper presents an overview of the design and fabrication of a prosthetic arm based on EMG signal. The EMG control is the foremost used approach in today’s prosthetic devices since it is a non-invasive compared with other strategies. There exists a demand for such systems as current implementations are complex to utilize, high in cost and inaccessible. We are planning forward to design such kind of EMG signal recorder which is used in prosthetic arm control. Electronic devices and PC/Laptop have been integrated together to achieve the overall goal.
