We propose an original method of Synthesis of COncealment Two-level Texture (SCOTT). SCOTT was designed according to the Human Visual System so that the concealment texture is faithful to the visual environment it will be placed in, in terms of forms and colors. The results of simulation prove that the concealment texture is efficient although it is made of simple forms and only a few colors. Even if SCOTT has initially been designed for an application of reducing the visual pollution caused by manmade equipments (antenna, electrical cabinets, distributor boxes, repeater shelters, etc.), it may be used in many applications, such as inpainting, and even in image compression.

Today scene graphs are ubiquitous in computer graphics: since they provide both a well suited data structure and an abstraction layer, almost all modern graphics applications employ some sort of scene graph. Unfortunately most scene graphs do not support higher order primitives (such as trimmed NURBS) adequately, even though in Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems the de facto standard surface representation is trimmed NURBS surfaces. This thesis describes how the trimmed NURBS representation can be seamlessly integrated into a scene graph system. For rendering purposes, geometries in the trimmed NURBS representation are almost always transformed into a polygonal representation. However, since this process is quite complicated if trimming is involved, creating a robust implementation is not straightforward. Another related problem is that when exporting complex NURBS models from CAD/CAM systems the topology information is sometimes lost and is usually very hard to reconstruct. This m...

Image Inpainting is technique in which mainly used to filling the region which are damaged and want to recover from unwanted object by collecting the information from the neighbouring pixels. Image inpainting technique has been widely used for reconstructing damaged old photographs and removing unwanted objects from images. In this paper, we present an improved Exemplar based Structure tensor inpainting method based on the exemplar-based image inpainting technique by modifying the distance function. The method proved to be effective in removing large objects from an image, ensuring accurate propagation of linear structures, and eliminating the drawback of “garbage growing ” which is a common problem in other methods. Experimental results show that our method improves the quality of image inpainting compared with the conventional exemplar-based image completion algorithms.

An image is 2d rectilinear array of pixel. Now a days Demands on texture synthesis and image restoration of digital images are growing according to population of consumer digital cameras. Nowadays, an important part of scientific and artistic works is stored in form of film and image archive, so image processing becomes a very important task. Image inpainting is filling in damaged or missed regions in an image in an undetectable form. In this paper we propose the robust exemplar based algorithm using block processing .Robust Exemplar-based inpainting methods iteratively search the source region and fill the missing or damaged region, i.e., target region, with the most similar patch in the source region. The proposed method uses block processing to improve the computation time. The proposed can used to increase the speed of image inpainting. Keywords— Robust Exemplar-based inpainting; Segmentation map; Robust priority function..

Texture synthesis using genetic algorithms is one way; proposed in the previous research, to synthesis texture in a fast and easy way. In genetic texture synthesis algorithms ,the chromosome consist of random blocks selected manually by the user .However ,this method of selection is highly dependent on the experience of user .Hence, wrong selection of blocks will greatly affect the synthesized texture result. In this paper a new method is suggested for selecting the blocks automatically without the participation of user .The results show that this method of selection eliminates some blending caused from the previous manual method of selection.

This paper presents crack detection in concrete structure based on fuzzy logic. Safety inspection of concrete structures is very important since it is closely related with the structural health and reliability. Automated structural health monitoring system becomes necessity in recent years that encourages various researches to be going on in this area. Cheap availability of digital cameras makes research work in this field easier. This paper presents digital image processing and fuzzy logic based efficient crack detection technique in concrete structure. Here features from digital image of concrete structure are extracted by using morphological image processing technique and then extracted features are fed to fuzzy logic to accurately identify the crack.

The research of image visual characteristics transfer is motivated from texture synthesis techniques. Generally, the success of these applications is inherently useroriented and highly depends on the subjective personal thoughts also. Therefore, a method with the reasonable estimation values to synthesize a styled texture which would meet the user preference is highly desirable. In this paper, the algorithm starts with an activityguided analysis for adaptive patch-based visual characteristics transfer, which is not only more efficient than conventional methods but also with pleasing visual quality. Then, the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) accelerated scheme with a modified match criterion which can effectively search and the approximate best location that matches the synthesized target patch according to user-specified feature(s). In addition, a hybrid blending approach ensures the Coherence Match to improve the transition effect between the overlapping boundaries of adjacent pat...

Image Inpainting refers to restoring a damaged image in such a manner that manipulation and modification in an image is not recognizable by the observer. In this paper we have simulated and compared results of two different existing algorithms that are based on convolution as given by Oliveira and Hadhoud. The algorithm given by Hadhoud gives faster results but produces strokes in the resultant image while algorithm given by Oliveira is slow but fills the region from all the sides.

We present a novel method to improve the accuracy of the 3D reconstruction of clothed human shape from a single image. Recent work has introduced volumetric, implicit and model-based shape learning frameworks for reconstruction of objects and people from one or more images. However, the accuracy and completeness for reconstruction of clothed people is limited due to the large variation in shape resulting from clothing, hair, body size, pose and camera viewpoint. This paper introduces two advances to overcome this limitation: firstly a new synthetic dataset of realistic clothed people, 3DVH; and secondly, a novel multiple-view loss function for training of monocular volumetric shape estimation, which is demonstrated to significantly improve generalisation and reconstruction accuracy. The 3DVH dataset of realistic clothed 3D human models rendered with diverse natural backgrounds is demonstrated to allows transfer to reconstruction from real images of people. Comprehensive comparative ...
