Your Name Blu-ray Review

An absorbing anime masterpiece receives a stunning steelbook collectors edition.

A masterpiece of animation, Your Name is the must-see instant-class from writer-director Makato Shinkai (Weathering with You). A charming sci-fi drama with twists and turns throughout, the story revolves around a teenage boy and girl who switch bodies (taking over each other's form) for some mysterious reason unknown to each of them. As the story evolves, the characters find out that the body- switching might just be destiny � and that much more is at stake than what either one originally thought.

The animation in Your Name is absolutely breathtaking. The exquisite level of detail in each frame of the production is stunning. There is something magical about viewing the film because of its profound sense of style and creativity on every level. The anime smash-hit also features music by Radwimps that is fantastic from start to finish. Fans of slice-of-life anime and high-concept sci-fi will find plenty to admire about the film. A worldwide smash hit, Your Name should be considered essential viewing.

It is easy to understand why Your Name because a worldwide phenomenon. The mega-hit anime film has breathtaking animation, a quality storyline, and absorbing music. The direction is engaging and the experience is magical from beginning to end. The Blu-ray release is equally top-notch with a truly remarkable video-audio presentation. The steelbook edition is a nice release that any collector would be proud to have and display on their shelf. Highly recommended.
