L_MotionBlurBitmap (original) (raw)
Summary
Applies a filter, which creates the illusion of movement in an image.
Syntax
#include "l_bitmap.h"
L_LTIMGEFX_API L_INT L_MotionBlurBitmap(pBitmap, uDim, nAngle, bUnidirectional, uFlags)
Parameters
pBITMAPHANDLE pBitmap
Pointer to the bitmap handle that references the bitmap to blur.
L_UINT uDim
Size of the blur effect, in pixels.
L_INT nAngle
Value that represents the direction of the motion, in hundredths of a degree (+/-) This value can be a number from 0 to 36000. If the value is positive, the motion will be clockwise. If the value is negative, the motion is counter-clockwise.
L_BOOL bUnidirectional
Flag that indicates whether the motion extends only in one direction. Possible values are:
Value | Meaning |
---|---|
TRUE | The motion blur effect is only in the direction specified in nAngle. |
FALSE | The motion blur effect is along the line with that angle. For example, if nAngle is 0, the blur effect will occur in the 0 degree direction and the 180 degree direction. |
L_UINT32 uFlags
Reserved for future use. Must be 0.
Returns
Value | Meaning |
---|---|
SUCCESS | The function was successful. |
< 1 | An error occurred. Refer to Return Codes. |
Comments
This function does not support signed data images. It returns the error code ERROR_SIGNED_DATA_NOT_SUPPORTED if a signed data image is passed to this function.
This function supports 12 and 16-bit grayscale and 48 and 64-bit color images. Support for 12 and 16-bit grayscale and 48 and 64-bit color images is available in the Document and Medical Imaging toolkits.
This function does not support 32-bit grayscale images. It returns the error code ERROR_GRAY32_UNSUPPORTED if a 32-bit grayscale image is passed to this function.

Example
This example loads a bitmap and creates motion blur.
L_INT MotionBlurBitmapExample(L_VOID)
{
L_INT nRet;
BITMAPHANDLE LeadBitmap; /* Bitmap handle to hold the loaded image. */
/* Load the bitmap, keeping the bits per pixel of the file */
nRet = L_LoadBitmap(MAKE_IMAGE_PATH(TEXT("sample5.cmp")), &LeadBitmap, sizeof(BITMAPHANDLE), 0, ORDER_BGR, NULL, NULL);
if (nRet != SUCCESS)
return nRet;
/* blur the bitmap */
nRet = L_MotionBlurBitmap(&LeadBitmap, 20, 4500, FALSE, 0);
if (nRet != SUCCESS)
return nRet;
nRet = L_SaveBitmap(MAKE_IMAGE_PATH(TEXT("Result.BMP")), &LeadBitmap, FILE_BMP, 24, 0, NULL);
if (nRet != SUCCESS)
return nRet;
//free bitmap
if (LeadBitmap.Flags.Allocated)
L_FreeBitmap(&LeadBitmap);
return SUCCESS;
}
