Tuto cestu Sindibád podniká proto, aby zachránil svého nejlepšího přítele, syrakuského prince, který se za něj zaručil svým životem. Cestu s ním podnikne i krásná princova snoubenka princezna Marina, do které se Sindibád během cesty zamiluje a ona jeho lásku posléze opětuje.
