CONVOY HX 296 Departed New York City on June 19-1944 and arrived Liverpool on July 3.
Arnold Hague's "The Allied Convoy System" gives 91 ships in this convoy.

The Rescue Vessel Copeland was on her 29th voyage as such, having started this voyage at Clyde with the westbound Convoy ON 238 on May 27-1944, to Halifax June 6 - returning with HX 296 from Halifax on June 21, to Clyde July 2. ("Convoy Rescue Ships 1940-1945", Arnold Hague).
