CONVOY HX 300 Departed New York City on July 17-1944 and arrived Liverpool on Aug. 3.
Arnold Hague's "The Allied Convoy System" gives 166 ships in this convoy, the largest convoy ever (19 columns).

Transcribed from several documents received from Roger Griffiths - His source: Public Records Office, Kew. Details re. Arctic convoys were found in "Convoys to Russia 1941-1945" by Bob Ruegg and Arnold Hague. Crossed out ships did not sail. A 1 form is not available to me and, therefore, I don't know the station numbers for these ships. MOWT=Ministry of War Transport

The Rescue Vessel Zamalek was on her 25th voyage as such, having started this voyage from Clyde with the westbound Convoy ON 242 on June 26-1944, to Halifax July 9 - returning with HX 300 from Halifax on July 19, to Clyde Aug. 2. ("Convoy Rescue Ships 1940-1945", Arnold Hague).
