Career Highlights

National Wrestling Alliance / World Championship Wrestling:

Teddy Long broke into the business by hanging out and running errands for wrestlers such as Tommy Rich and Abdullah the Butcher.
Teddy Long eventurally became a member of the ring crew for National Wrestling Alliance.
Teddy Long filled in for a referee who no showed to an NWA card, and eventually became a full-time referee.
February 20, 1989 – NWA Chi-Town Rumble: Teddy Long runs in for the 3 count to award Ricky Steamboat the NWA World title.
Teddy Long suddenly became a lot more involved in other matches making controversial decisions which often favored the heels.
April 2, 1989: Teddy Long controversially awards Mike Rotunda and Steve Williams the NWA Tag titles from the Road Warriors.
Teddy Long was banned by the NWA from refereeing, and later returned as the manager of the Skyscrapers.
Teddy Long credits Eddie Gilbert and Kevin Sullivan for helping him make the transition from referee to manager.
Teddy Long and the Skyscrapers began feuding with the Road Warriors and Paul Ellering.
The Skyscrapers broke up and Teddy Long became the manager for the recently unmasked team of of Doom.

October 18, 2010 – RAW: Theodore Long showed up on RAW to hype the RAW vs. SmackDown match at the Bragging Rights PPV.
December 13, 2010 – The Slammy Awards: Theodore Long presented the “WWE Superstar of the Year” Slammy Award to John Cena!
December 31, 2010 – SmackDown: General Manager Theodore Long threw a big New Year’s Eve party for everyone in the WWE..
January 21, 2011 – SmackDown: Theodore Long was taken out backstage, so Vickie Guerrero stepped in as General Manager.
~~~It was implied that it was The Corre who assaulted Theodore Long, because Long had stood up to that group earlier in the show.
February 18, 2011 – SmackDown: Vickie Guerrero said she had proof Edge took out Theodore Long last month and fired him on the spot!
~~~LATER: Theodore Long returned and immediately re-hired Edge, then booked a rematch where if Ziggler lost, he would be FIRED!
~~~Edge defeated Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero to win the World Heavyweight title and then Ziggler was fired from SmackDown.
February 20, 2011 – Elimination Chamber: Vickie Guerrero begged the fans to help convince G.M. Theodore Long to re-hire Dolph Ziggler.
~~Long came out and instead re-hired Kelly Kelly, who hit the ring and chased Vickie around trying to get some much deserved revenge!
~~~LayCool (Layla El and Michelle McCool) showed up and attacked Kelly Kelly until “Diva of the Decade” Trish Stratus made the save!
February 25, 2011 – SmackDown: Theodore Long booked Vickie Guerrero in a tag team match where if she lost she would be FIRED!
~~~World Heavyweight champion Edge and Kelly Kelly defeated Drew McIntyre and Vickie Guerrero – [Teddy Long happily fired Vickie!]
March 4, 2011 – SmackDown: Theodore Long thanked Drew McIntyre for his part in getting Vickie fired and booked HIM in a match!
~~~World Heavyweight champion Edge defeated Drew McIntyre by submission in a Non-title match.
~~~Theodore Long hosted a contract signing between World Heavyweight champion Edge and Alberto Del Rio w/ Ricardo Rodriguez.
March 9, 2012 – Smackdown: Teddy Long defeated John Laurinaitis.
April 1, 2012 – Wrestlemania 28: Team Johnny (Mark Henry, David Otunga, Dolph Ziggler, Christian, The Miz, and Jack Swagger) defeated Team Teddy (Santino Marella, Kofi Kingston, R-Tuth, Zack Ryder, Great Khali, and Booker T) to give John Laurinaitis full control of WWE television.
June 12, 2014 – WWE has released Teddy Long. There is also several other superstars released from the WWE.
October 10, 2014 – SmackDown: Team Teddy (WWE United States champion Sheamus, Mark Henry, Jack Swagger, the Usos, and Los Matadores) defeated Team Johnny (WWE tag team champions Goldust and Stardust, Cesaro, Bo Dallas, Damien Sandow, Heath Slater, and Hornswoggle) in a 7-man tag team match.
June 6, 2016 – RAW: Teddy Long returned to RAW saying he want to be the general manager for SmackDown when the show goes Live!
March 31, 2017 – WWE Hall Of Fame: Teddy Long was inducted in the 2017 class of the WWE Hall of Fame.
January 22, 2018 – RAW: The Boogeyman was part of a backstage segment with Kurt Angle, The Brooklyn Brawler, Harvey, Teddy Long, The Coach & Brother Love.
