The Advertiser ist eine australische Tageszeitung, die in Adelaide, South Australia von News Corporation herausgegeben wird. Die erste Ausgabe von The Advertiser erschien am 12. Juli 1858. The Advertiser se situe plutôt au centre-gauche à ses débuts, mais devient de plus en plus conservateur par la suite. Cette tendance n'a fait que s’amplifier depuis son rachat par la News Corporation en 1990. La fusion avec qui s'ensuivit en fit un tabloïd, et son audience changea également. Adélaïde manquant de journaux de centre-gauche, The Sydney Morning Herald et The Age ont gagné ces dernières années en popularité, bien qu'ils soient en principe destinés à Sydney et Brisbane respectivement. Through much of the 20th century, The Advertiser was Adelaide's morning broadsheet, The News the afternoon tabloid, with The Sunday Mail covering weekend sport, and Messenger Newspapers community news. The head office was relocated from a former premises in King William Street, to a new News Corp office complex, known as Keith Murdoch House at 31 Waymouth Street.
