Les différentes gammes furent les Cyber 6600/7600, Cyber 170, Cyber 180 et une gamme orientée calcul vectoriel : les cyber 200 prolongés chez ETA. Une dernière catégorie de processeurs avait été développée : les AFP, qui étaient des processeurs spécialisés pilotés depuis les Cyber 180. Après plusieurs exercices déficitaires au début des années 1980, CDC décida de se séparer de la branche Superordinateurs, ce qui fut finalisé en 1992 par la création de Control Data Systems, finalement rachetée par une filiale de British Telecom ; l’autre branche de CDC, Ceridian, sera absorbée par Siemens.
