Rychlostní silnice S3 je polská rychlostní silnice, která po dokončení spojí města Svinoústí na pobřeží Baltského moře, Velkopolský Hořov, Zelenou Horu a Lehnici a u českých hranic naváže na dálnici D11. Sie soll von Świnoujście (Swinemünde) auf der Insel Usedom nach Lubawka (Liebau in Schlesien) an der tschechisch-polnischen Grenze verlaufen und sich dabei durch drei Woiwodschaften ziehen. An der Grenze wird sie an die tschechische Autobahn D11 anknüpfen. Im Großteil ihres Verlaufs ist die Schnellstraße S3 Teil der Europastraße 65. (de) Expressway S3 or express road S3 (in Polish droga ekspresowa S3) is a major road under development in Poland, which is planned to run from Świnoujście on the Baltic Sea through Szczecin, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Zielona Góra and Legnica, to the border with the Czech Republic, where it will connect to the planned D11 motorway. The total intended length is 470.6 km (292.4 mi), of which 404.7 km (251.5 mi) is open to traffic and 65.9 km (40.9 mi) is under construction (as of November 2021). The main section from Szczecin (A6) through Jordanowo (A2) to Legnica (A4) was constructed mainly in years 2008 – 2021, and is completed on the whole intended length. The sections from Legnica (A4) to the Czech border and from Świnoujście to Szczecin (A6) are partially finished and partially under construction, with contracted completions in 2023 and 2024, respectively. Motorway A3 was planned to be built along this route before, but the decision was made to build a lower standard "express road" as the traffic density was judged too low to justify a motorway. Nonetheless, S3 shares the crucial properties of an autostrada, including physical separation, restricted access, all interchanges being grade-separated, and (upon completion) at least two continuous lanes in each direction as well as emergency lanes (hard shoulder). Na pozostałych odcinkach posiada kategorię drogi krajowej i jest zarządzana przez Generalną Dyrekcję Dróg Krajowych i Autostrad (GDDKiA). Docelowo na całej swej długości będzie posiadała klasę techniczną S. Została zaplanowana jako droga o przekroju dwujezdniowym, czteropasmowym. Najdłuższy odcinek znajduje się na terenie województwa lubuskiego (odległość od granicy z zachodniopomorskim do granicy z dolnośląskim wynosi 184 km). Dla pojazdów samochodowych oraz zespołów pojazdów o dopuszczalnej masie całkowitej (dmc) do 3,5 tony przejazd S3 jest bezpłatny. Pojazdy o dmc powyżej 3,5 tony, a także autobusy niezależnie od dmc, podlegają na niej elektronicznemu systemowi poboru opłat e-TOLL (w latach 2011–2021 viaTOLL). (pl) |
