Composers rarely work together on the same piece, and this may be due to the difficulty of sharing the subconscious process of sharing the imagination of music. I survey examples of composers working together and find that only composers of electronic music share detailed compositional work. Otherwise, composers may share conceptualising a piece and then write separate parts, or one composer may assemble a piece from suggestions made by others.

The purpose. The purpose of the reseach was to study the experiences of immigrant parents about co- operation with kindergartens in Helsinki. Very little research has been done on this topic in Finland, so my research questions are focused on a fairly wide research field. The background literature focuses on the prevalence of immigrant families in Finnish kindergartens, how the Early Childhood Education Act and the national Early Childhood Education Plan guide and enforce co-operation with parents, and why kindergartens should seek open and confidential co-operation with immigrants. In addition, I have presented the social psychology theories, such as the cognitive categorical schemas, prejudiced attitudes, stereotypes, intergroup relations, social identity and ethnic identity.

Climate change has become a great challenge to our generation and its impact is felt in almost every society in the world. Nigeria as a developing country with a population of about 180 million is likely to be adversely impacted by climate change due to its vulnerability and low coping capability. Evidences have shown that climate change impacts on Nigeria arises from various climate change related causes experienced due to the increase in temperature, rainfall, sea level rise, impact on fresh water resources, extreme weather events, flooding, drought in the north and increased health risk. The study reviews some existing literatures, information, policies, and data on climate change in Nigeria and its impact on the various sectors of the economy. The finding for this paper indicates that many sectors of Nigerian economy appear to be directly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change such as agricultural sector, health, energy, etc. This generally affects the growth of economy. The impacts of climate changed highlighted in this study raise the need for more support in research and education awareness on the impact of climate change in Nigeria. This review attempts to create awareness on the impacts of climate change in Nigeria and presents some policy recommendations for adaptation and mitigation measures to tackle the challenges.

Business units or financial institutions can not survive, unless they satisfy their customer's expectations. Only satisfied customers will transact business continuously and recommend for transacting business at societies with their friends and relatives. Each and every financial institution adopts their own strategies for fulfilling their customer's expectations and tries to retain existing customers and to attract new ones. Thus, in this study an attempt has been made to ascertain the factors influencing customer's satisfaction and to offer suggestions for enhancing customer's satisfaction. The result of the study portrays that area of residence, age, educational qualification, occupation, monthly income, family income, type of family, level of awareness and level of perception on service quality are the factors associated with customer's satisfaction.

Normativity refers to the human conformity to the behavioural modes of a society, which underpins diverse aspects of our behaviour, including symbolism, co-operation, and morality. It has its developmental basis in overimitation, the uniquely human bias towards replicating the intentional actions of a demonstrator, regardless of their causal relevance. Using evidence from stone tool technology, we suggest that both overimitation and normativity have their evolutionary origins in the Acheulean archaeological period. Overimitation can be seen in arbitrary biases in Acheulean tool-making; while normativity is evident in geographically and temporally restricted sub-types of Acheulean tools, which do not appear to be functional specializations. We argue that normativity would have conferred particular advantages for the Acheulean niche of co-operative hunting of mega-herbivores and living in large groups, through co-ordinating hunting strategies, promoting equitable sharing, and enforcing the punishment of free-riders.

Abstract Most of the countries in African continent, which are defined as underdeveloped, poor, developing, the Third World, take place among " South " countries. Although continent, with independent struggles, put an end to unequal relations with colonist powers mainly in the period of 1950-1960, it did not succeed

This research study is an analysis of the intertwining concepts of collaboration, prosumption, and communication in the contemporary digital educational space. The major objective of this thesis is to understand the operationalisation of the collaborative production of free and open artefacts. For this purpose, a framework is established for investigating communication and interaction activities of the people involved and their usage of ICT supported communications. Three exemplary pro- jects are then examined using this framework: Schulbuch-O-Mat, a pilot project in which an elec- tronic OER schoolbook is created; Memrise, an online platform which offers a wide range of user- created learning courses in a variety of topics; and VroniPlag Wiki, a wiki in which dissertations are collaboratively examined in terms of plagiarism. Data for this study were collected in the form of a comparative multiple-case study using a mix of methods such as interviews, questionnaires, participant observation, and the analysis of documents. Using situational analysis, a comparative analysis was conducted in terms of the three main aspects of this study: prosumption, collaboration, and communications. The results show that a balanced mix of communication enabling tools and services facilitates high collaboration. It was also concluded that collaborative working procedures benefit from diverse ways to address participants. The obtained data support the view that less hier- archical structures simplify collaborations and prosumption. Further research should address the is- sue of digital labour and exploitation as well as the management of conflicts in prosumer orientated collaborations. As a further outcome, a system of categories was derived in the analysis part of this thesis. This categorisation system serves as a foundation towards an approach of analysing collab- orative communication.

The cooperation between Government (GVT) and Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs) in health services provision (HSP) is vital in Tanzania. However, to benefit from such cooperation it requires adoption of the procedures that will overcome the persisting problems of health services provision. The study on the evaluationof the solution to health services provision problems in Tanzania was conducted in Dodoma region. Basically; it analysed the status, problems, reasons for problems and solution of health services provision problems in Dodoma urban and Kondoa districts by targeting GVT and FBOs cooperated health care facilities. Cross-sectional research design was used during the study. Sample size was 394. This was obtained purposively followed by simple random sampling techniques. Both descriptive and inferential statistical analyses were used to analyse the data obtained through questionnaire survey, interview, focus group discussion and participant observation. The sudy identified that the cooperation between the GVT and FBOs in health services provision is important. However, it will be achieved if and only if the moderate status of health services provision in the region will follow various procedures including; analysis of the root causes of the moderate status of health services provision, analysis of the environmental conditions facing GVT and FBOs cooperated health care facilities and, the implementation capability of the GVT and FBOs cooperated health care facilities in Dodoma urban and Kondoa districts. The study recommended that, the Government of Tanzania in cooperation with Faith-Based Organizations should ensure; strong leadership and management team, improvement of infrastructure and working facilities, good management of health plan, availability of essential drugs with reasonable costs and the availability of human resources.

Despite following best practice, most governments fail in their strategic communications. There is a missing ‘X’ factor: trust. This offers a quick win to strategic communicators, provided they understand what the phenomenon involves. Moreover, it allows practitioners to avoid the risk of citizens feeling betrayed when their government fails to deliver.

In recent years the attention to gifted schoolchildren has increased both from the researchers and practitioners. Many scientists have become aware of this children category significance as future elite and country’s growth engine. Yet, the work with gifted children mostly centres around their abilities development, and the given children category social development is often left out of the focus.
Domestic and foreign research results as well as our empirical data prove that gifted schoolchildren face the range of issues, mostly connected with microcommunity relations sphere.
Education process traditional subjects – children, parents and teachers – often become the problem triangle for the gifted child. His abilities cause difficulties in education process, irritate his peers, are not supported by his parents. The “blend in with the crowd” effect often occurs as it is much easier than to distinguish oneself.
It leads to the fact that the percentage of successful and self-contented adults is much lower than the gifted children percentage, i.e. children who demonstrated not only the potential, but also significant achievements in different fields of science, art and sports. It brings about the necessity for serious consideration not only in terms of creating conditions for gifted children abilities development, but also for making conditions for successful social development of this non-typical children category.
Key words: giftedness, gifted child, social development, socialization, gifted schoolchildren, comprehensive educational establishment, co-operation

When governments want to improve the social protection of their citizens, they usually try either to extend the coverage of public social insurance or assistance schemes or to promote commercial savings or insurance products. A third possibility only rarely used is to promote self-help groups that are already in place in very many countries all over the world. Such groups organise risk prevention, joint saving, risk diversification and insurance, although their members are often relatively poor. Many big insurance companies in industrialised countries also go back to such kinds of mutual insurance initiatives. But most insurance groups in developing countries today need support to become more efficient. Governments and donors can help them by imparting skills, promoting networking among them, providing financial support; helping them build up arbitration facilities; and liberalizing NGO and association laws.

In a previous paper (Taylor 2016, 570), I proposed that there are four types of relationships in shared imaginative work. These result from key aspects of the imaginative process, and the constraints which these place on the ability to share imaginative work. I interviewed seven composers on their collaborative projects, and analysed these using this typology of relationships. In presenting these case studies, I aim to: • Demonstrate the value of the typology of working relationships when analysing examples of shared artistic creation. • Add to the growing published stock of case studies of shared imaginative work. • Draw conclusions on how composers' can work effectively with other artists. First, I set out the view of the imaginative process which underlies the rest of the analysis, and explain why this results in constraints on sharing imaginative work. I follow this with an explanation of the different types of shared imaginative working which are possible within these constraints.

Social media platforms are seeing increasing adoption by public transport agencies, as they provide a cost-effective, reliable, and timely mechanism for sharing information with passengers and other travellers. In this paper, we use a case study of the @GamesTravel2014 Twitter account to evaluate how this social media platform was used over the course of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland to provide and share transport-related information and respond to information requests. The case study provides an exemplar for the public co-ordination of information from multiple partners in a complex environment during a time of transport disruption. We evaluate both the structure and intent of the @GamesTravel2014 social media strategy via interviews with involved parties and an analysis of Tweets related to the account. Findings indicate the potential for future applications of social media by transport operators and authorities in producing a more effective network of communication with passengers.

We report ongoing research in search of characteristics of mobile work and use of mobile ICT (information and communication technologies) to support such work. Based on an explorative case study of the work of mobile service technicians at Telia Nra, we outline five areas of questions where mobility changes fundamental aspects of the work. The areas concern both individuals as a professional and as a social being. The professional aspects include sharing knowledge, explicit as well as tacit, forming a professional identity. The ...

Although it is well established that rhythmically coordinating with a social partner can increase cooperation, it is as yet unclear when and why intentional coordination has such effects. We distinguish three dimensions along which explanations might vary. First, pro-social effects might require in-phase synchrony or simply coordination. Second, the effects of rhythmic movements on cooperation might be direct or mediated by an intervening variable. Third, the pro-social effects might occur in proportion to the quality of the coordination, or occur once some threshold amount of coordination has occurred. We report an experiment and two follow-ups which sought to identify which classes of models are required to account for the positive effects of coordinated rhythmic movement on cooperation. Across the studies, we found evidence (1) that coordination, and not just synchrony, can have pro-social consequences (so long as the social nature of the task is perceived), (2) that the effects of intentional coordination are direct, not mediated, and (3) that the degree of the coordination did not predict the degree of cooperation. The fact of inter-personal coordination (moving together in time and in a social context) is all that's required for pro-social effects. We suggest that future research should use the kind of carefully controllable experimental task used here to continue to develop explanations for when and why coordination affects pro-social behaviors.
