An uncertain material, probably sillimanite.
Originally described by Nils Adolf Erik Nordenskiöld in 1842 from pebbles and boulders at Gulf of Finland coast near to St Petersburg, Leningradskaya Oblast', North-Western Region, Russia. Friedrich Becke investigated xenolite by optical methods and noted that it is very close to sillimanite.
Note: Not to be confused with xenolith.
