This condition has encouraged many coastal communities to diversify their work to increase income. Job diversification can provide a substantial contribution to meet household needs during the dry season. This study aims to determine the contribution of income made by coastal communities to support their household needs. This research was conducted in Punaga Village, Mangarabombang District, Takalar Regency. The results of this study indicated that the type of work carried out by coastal communities is rice cultivation and seaweed, which have so far significantly contributed to household life although the harvest is obtained in the rainy season and seaweed is harvested every 45 days after planting. Other sectors such as non-rice and non-agriculture contributed significantly to increase household income such as raising livestock, civil servants, employees, and others. Expenditures are mostly spent on farming costs and daily expenses such as consumption. The coastal community has 100% implemented a dual livelihood pattern to meet their needs, which contributes significantly to meet their needs and to build a more decent life.

The problem in Indonesia is that most farmers only have a narrow farming scale or less than 0.5 ha, it is almost im possible for farmers to organize themselves effectively and efficiently. For this reason, the research aims to analyze the extent to which the interests of farmers' corporations in improving the welfare of farmers. The research method is sourced from relevant stakeholders from the farmer level to the government, using a SWOT analysis and supporting secondary data, which was carried out in Demak Regency, Central Java Province. The results show that the rice farmer corporations in Demak Regency started from the Citra Kinaraya Multipurpose Cooperative (KSU) as a Primary Cooperative with its main business being the cultivation and marketing of specially packaged rice. Some of the products that have been produced include brown rice, black rice, milky rice and genki rice (mix) with a rice production capacity of around 40-50 tons/month. This capacity has only reached about 5% of the production target of around 875-1000 tons of special rice per month, which is produced from a harvested area of 18-20 ha•day. Currently the Citra Kinaraya Multipurpose Cooperative is developing into a Provincial Primary Cooperative by consolidating farmers outside the District of Demak, like District of Kudus, Grobogan, Banyumas, Sragen, Semarang and Purworejo. In 2020, it has been initiated that this corporation will become a Farmer Corporations Major Project implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture involving Ministries/Agencies and Local Governments and serve as a benchmark in developing 345 Farmer Corporations until 2024.

Various results of erosion research on highland vegetable farming land indicate that the erosion ... more Various results of erosion research on highland vegetable farming land indicate that the erosion level is classified as dangerous. This condition cannot be tolerated, because it will cause economic problems in the future both society and government. For farmers who are actively processing potatoes, the longer the farming the greater the cost of production so that the rate of profit gained tends to decrease. For the government, environmental degradation will reduce the possible use of the budget for the development of social welfare because the available funds are used to finance the prevention and handling of environmental disasters such as floods and landslides. The purpose of this study is to find out how many profit opportunities are lost due to erosion occurring in potato farming, using the method of analysis of agricultural systems and then calculate the opportunity price of potato farming system. The results of this study indicate that the value needed to reduce erosion by 0.54 t.ha-1 in one harvest season was IDR. 5,605,556.-. The opportunity to earn a profit of IDR. 5,600,000.-will be lost if farmers do not apply conservation techniques to potato farming in sub-districts Tinggimoncong.

The estimated positive externality value of this tourist attraction is IDR 251,520,000 per year. A share value above 70% and covering above 75% indicates that tourism objects make an important contribution to the local community's economy. Even though there is a loss in the form of a change in agricultural land productivity of 5 tons per year and a potential loss of production of 209,492,000 per year or 11,366,902 per hectare, the value of the benefits obtained is far greater than the value of the losses.

IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, 2018

Kata kunci: eksternalitas, pengelolaan wisata, objek wisata alam, share and covering, change of productivity ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to estimate the externality value received by the people of Panaikang Village due to the existence of the Leang Londrong natural tourism. This research was conducted from November 2022 to March 2023 in the area of Panaikang Village, Minasatene District, Pangkajene dan Kepulauan. The data was obtained by conducting interviews with as many as 150 respondents and descriptive-quantitative analyzed using Share and Covering income analysis, change of productivity and loss of earnings methods. The results showed that the benefits are in the form of increased sales of hawker stalls and income of around Rp. 350,000 to 1,500,000 per month or an average of 740,000 per month or Rp. 8,800,000 per year.
