Deuterons are atomic nuclei composed of a neutron and a proton held together by the strong interaction. Unbound ensembles composed of a deuteron and a third nucleon have been investigated in the past using scattering experiments, and they constitute a fundamental reference in nuclear physics to constrain nuclear interactions and the properties of nuclei. In this work, K þ-d and p-d femtoscopic correlations measured by the ALICE Collaboration in proton-proton (pp) collisions at ffiffi ffi s p ¼ 13 TeV at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are presented. It is demonstrated that correlations in momentum space between deuterons and kaons or protons allow us to study three-hadron systems at distances comparable with the proton radius. The analysis of the K þ-d correlation shows that the relative distances at which deuterons and protons or kaons are produced are around 2 fm. The analysis of the p-d correlation shows that only a full three-body calculation that accounts for the internal structure of the deuteron can explain the data. In particular, the sensitivity of the observable to the short-range part of the interaction is demonstrated. These results indicate that correlations involving light nuclei in pp collisions at the LHC will also provide access to any threebody system in the strange and charm sectors.

The purpose of the study is to assess the irregularity elongation of wool yarn in a mixture with silk with the smoothness and torque of 470 Nm 34/1 twists / m, for knitted products. The study was conducted on two groups of yarns, batch 1 came from South Africa, and batch 2 from Asia, which was painted. In both groups there was 75% wool yarn and 25% silk. The measurements were carried out using the USTER® TENSOJET 4 machine, the analysis being performed on ten samples from each batch of yarns. During the mechanical processing and also during the use of textiles, the yarns are solicited by tensile forces, but most often by forces inferior to tearing forces. To highlight the behavior of yarns during strains to smaller stresses than those causing tearing itself, we must examine the stress-elongation diagrams and the irregularity regarding stress (tearing load and elongation to tearing). These stress characteristics have a major influence on deformability characteristics, dimensional sta...

Juniper species belonging to the family Cupressaceae are evergreen shrubs or trees that thrive in dry, rocky, or sandy soils. There are roughly 67 species in the genus, all indigenous to the northern hemisphere. Several species of this genus have been reported to have a variety of pharmacological activities, including diuretic, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, hepatoprotective, antidiabetic, and anti-hyperlipidemic properties. Additionally, some species have been shown to have antioxidant, antimicrobial, and neuroprotective properties in Parkinson's disease patients. The majority of these activities are caused by the phytochemical constituents found in these species. This article covers most of the constituents of plants of the genus juniper reported from 2010 to 2023. Furthermore, the biological activities of plants of the genus juniper are presented.

Objective To compare the incidence of cutaneous hazards of surgical mask versus N 95 mask in health care providers during covid-19 pandemic and response of topical methylprednisolone aceponate (MPA) to associated contact dermatitis. Place and Duration of Study Outpatient Dermatology Department of DHQ Teaching Hospital, Sargodha Medical College, Sargodha during month of April 2020. Methods Total 300 participant who use surgical masks or N95 for more than 10 days during duty hours were interviewed in order to fill a pre-designed proforma regarding cutaneous impact of using mask versus N95 masks. Side effects were noted like increased localized general sweating, localized acne (folliculitis), localized itching and burning, redness (erythema), contact dermatitis on face, dryness at contact area, behind the ear dermatitis (retro-auricular dermatitis) and frictional hyperpigmentation. The data was tabulated and analyzed by descriptive analysis on SPSS 20. Patients with active contact derm...

A peptide corresponding to amino acid sequence 188–201 of the α‐subunit of Torpedo AChR binds α‐Bgtx. The S‐S bridge between Cys 192 and 193 is essential for the binding as Tyr in position 189. The same sequence 188–201 corresponding to human AChR, which instead of Tyr has a Thr in position 189, binds α‐Bgtx with a much lower efficiency. Monoclonal antibodies raised against Torpedo peptide 188–201 recognize Torpedo AChR and antibodies against Torpedo AChR recognize peptide 188–201 indicating that the synthetic peptide and the corresponding sequence in the native molecule share some immunological epitopes. With computer graphics and energy refinement a molecular model of this peptide has been elaborated.
