The production and use of Ra-226 sealed sources was internationally recommended to be halted for health and safety reasons. Consequently, all Ra-226 sources in Cuba were collected, characterized and conditioned. The paper describes the safety and operational aspects related to the Ra-226 conditioning. For this, a Special Permission was granted by the Regulatory Body, as required. A radiological assessment, a safety report as well as an emergency plan were prepared and approved before the operations. The work was accomplished with due reliability following an established comprehensive Quality Management System. As a result of these operations, 188.5 GBq of Ra-226, contained in different types of radiation sources (brachytherapy needles and tubes, standard sources for calibration, etc.) were encapsulated and conditioned. The capsules with the sources were conditioned in a retrievable form within fi ve waste packages intended for long term storage.

Risk analyses applied to radiotherapy treatments have become an undeniable necessity, considering the dangers generated by the combination of using powerful radiation fields on patients and the occurrence of human errors and equipment failures during these treatments. The technique par excellence to execute these analyses has been the risk matrix. This paper presents the development of a new algorithm to execute the task with wide graphic and analytic potentialities, thus transforming it into a very useful option for risk monitoring and the optimization of quality assurance. The system SECURE-MR, which is the basic software of this algorithm, has been successfully used in risk analysis regarding different kinds of radiotherapies. The nucleus and the microtubular cytoskeleton of eukaryotic cells appear to be structurally and functionally interrelated. Together they constitute a "cell body". One of the most important components of this body is a primary microtubule-organizing center (MTOC-I) located on or near the nuclear surface and composed of material that, in addition to constitutive centrosomal material, also comprises some nuclear matrix components. The MTOC-I shares a continuity with the mitotic spindle and, in animal cells, with the centrosome also. Secondary microtubule-organizing centers (MTOC-IIs) are a special feature of walled plant cells and are found at the plasma membrane where they organize arrays of cortical MTs that are essential for ordered cell wall synthesis and hence for cellular morphogenesis. Se presentan los resultados de los calculos de la distribucion de desplazamientos atomicos en el superconductor y en laminas de hierro inducida por radiacion gamma hasta 15 MeV. Se introdujo un procedimiento de calculo para las secciones eficaces de desplazamiento y para las distribuciones de desplazamientos atomicos, basado en el uso de los valores de la distribucion del flujo energetico de los electrones secundarios, obtenidos con ayuda del codigo de calculo MCNPX basado en el metodo de Monte Carlo. This research aims to determine the phenomenon of narcissistic behavior among adolescent social media users. Respondents who are the subjects in this study are adolescents aged 16 to 20 years who live in the Mranggen sub-district, Demak district who have more than three social media accounts that have been used for more than 1 year, and carry out activities on their social media every day. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Methods of data collection using interviews and documentation which are arranged based on the characteristics of narcissism. As for the data analysis technique that will be used is descriptive coding method. The results of the study show that the subject often shows a thing or situation that encourages other people to have a good impression by minimizing things that are negative or not good for themselves
