A 2-distance coloring and b-coloring are two independent types of vertex coloring of graphs. When 2-distance coloring demands that vertices at distance at most 2 must receive distinct colors, the b-coloring demands that in the vertex coloring, each color class must contain a vertex having a neighbor in every other color class. The first combination of these two types of coloring is 2-distance b-coloring. It is a 2-distance coloring in which every color class contains a vertex which has a neighbor in every other color class. In this coloring, for a vertex u, vertices at distance at most 2 from  are considered and given distinct colors. If the at most 2 condition on neighbors is given to the neighboring condition on b-coloring, a new coloring can be obtained. In this paper, the new coloring, a second combination of the two types of coloring is introduced. This coloring is called 2-distance strong b-coloring (2sb-coloring). It is a 2-distance coloring in which every color class contains a vertex u such that there is a vertex u in every other color class satisfying the condition that distance between u and v is less than or equal to 2. The 2-distance strong b-chromatic number χ 2sb (G)(2sb- number) is the maximum k such that G admits a 2sb-coloring with k colors. Pile foundation is one form of a foundation that is commonly used to distribute the load of the building over a vast area to transfer the loading intensity within a secure bearing capacity ofsoil beneath the structure. The pile foundation consists of two major components: Pile cap and single pile or cluster of piles. The flexibility of the pile cap af ects individual pile head forces and the bending moments and shear forces in individual piles. A pure fixed-head condition is rarely doable within the field, even once a pile group is constrained by a stif concrete pile cap, because the cap itself rotates. In this study, the design and analysis of an irregular shape pile cap due to unsymmetrical action load surround the area of pile cap was investigated using manual calculation namely Beam Method and Truss Method. Pile cap was re-designed in accordance with Eurocode 2 using Prota Structure-Orion Software. The results show that the required area value of steel obtained in the software is substantially higher compared to the manual calculation. The optimum design was proposed by reducing the thickness of the pile cap.

In this paper an improved level set method strategy coordinated with modified fuzzy clustering is used for brain tumor segmentation. Exclusively, fuzzy logic lead to tedious interaction and level set method required manual intercession for computation of dynamic shape region. A novel level set algorithm is applied on cerebrum MR images for tumor detection. This process is more powerful when contrasted with other individual strategies. In this process we can decrease number of tasks per emphases and can improve the effectiveness. Execution assessment has been done on different MR images. The outcome affirms its adequacy for cerebrum tumor identification.

Quaternary continental formations identified at about twenty km southwest of Tiddas (Province of Khemisset, central Morocco) on the left bank of Bou Regreg River, consist of the Hançala, the Zwirga, the Bir Dallah and the Bir Oughioul Formations. The present work consists of a sedimentological study of this later Formation which is found to have been deposited in fluvio-lacustrine environments and of being of and age posterior to 0.62 Ma, e.g. Middle Pleistocene (Moroccan Amirian) based on basaltic tuf s fond at the base of this Formation. These tuf s were petrographically correlated with Quaternary basalt which was radiometrically dated in Central Morocco.
Both this age and the sedimentologically inferred depositional environments of this Formation are corroborated by the discovery of skeletal remains of the genus Hippopotamus in its deposits.
In fact, a comparative study of the discovered bones of thisspecimen with two known fossil species of Western Europe (Hippopotamus major and Hippopotamus incognitus) and with the current form Hippopotamus amphibious indicates that the Tiddas Hippopotamus is of an intermediate age between these fossil species and can thus be attributed at late Middle Pleistocene-early Upper Pleistocene age.
In fact, the comparative study of the discovered remains of Hippopotamus of Tiddas both with the present-day form (Hippopotamus amphibus) and with two European specimens (Hippopotamus incognitus and Hippopotamus major) places Hippopotamus of Tiddas in the interval of late Middle Pleistocene-Early upper Pleistocene.
During this period, the northern margin of Central Morocco was, most likely, characterized by a wetter climate than the current one, a distensile tectonics and an intense volcanism upstream of the Bou Regreg River. These conditions would have favored the installation of fluvio-lacustrine environments where aquatic forms, such as Hippopotamus, proliferated.

In industries, DC motors are used because of their simple design and consistent performance. Also, DC motors posses a broad range of speed control, so these motors are preferred to be used as variable speed drives. Another advantages of DC motor are their starting torque which is significantly high and better speed regulation. These features make a DC motor favorable for use in industries and hence it becomes very important to have a controller designed for DC motor which can ensure their better speed control. In this paper, a method for speed control of DC motor using three phase thyristor-based converter and Modulus-Hugging approach has been proposed. The control methodology has been realized through MATLAB/SIMULINK. The power converter designed is thyristor based. The speed of DC motor has been controlled by varying the voltage across the armature circuit. Simulation results have been obtained and presented in this paper to demonstrate the efficacy of the projected system. This system can also be implemented on hardware using different types of loads.

In the field of data science, integrating and analyzing data distributed across different data sources is necessary for decision-making and planning business strategies. Hence, the record linkage is important component in data integration and analytics for matching and linking records across various databases. Since databases contain personally identifying information and sensitive data about individuals, there is a need for protecting privacy for record linkage. Thus, the secure record linkage involves encoding of records from multiple data sources and then performs matching on them. The Bloom filter encoding techniques were found to provide better privacy while performing approximate matching on erroneous records. Still the Bloom filter based secure record linkage techniques can suffer from re-identification attacks and may lead to imbalance between linkage accuracy and privacy. This work includes the overview of secure record linkage and implementation of recent attack methods on EPPRL approach, Basic and Balanced Bloom filter. Moreover, we provide recommendations to limit the vulnerability and re-identification of encoded identifiers from Bloom filter based secure record linkage.

Now-a-days, the exploitation activities have moved into the deeper oil and gas formations in hostile High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) environment that demands state-of-the-art and sophisticated drilling fluids basically for the pay zones. Due to their high temperature instability, the simple polymer based mud systems are not suitable for the HPHT wells. The major challenges in HPHT conditions include low penetration rate, excessive torque and drag, poor hole cleaning, dif erential pipe sticking and formation damage. These complications can be controlled by maintaining proper rheological properties as well as filtration loss properties in the mud systems. But, it is very dif icult to maintain these properties of conventional pay zone drilling fluids under HPHT conditions due to the presence of high molecular weight polymers in the mud. This work exhibits synthesize and evaluation of polymer nanocomposites as additives for a novel cost effective, efficient, environment friendly, and fit-for-the- purpose nanocomposite based Reservoir Drilling Fluid (RDF) system for the pay zones or reservoir sections of the HPHT wells.

This hilly town is the capital of Lunglei district administration and it is the centre for political, educational and commercial activities for the district. As the world is facing grave threats from climate change and pollution, and keeping the ever growing population in mind, the need for quality potable water for daily needs are increasing and consumption of clean and healthy potable water is vital. The insufficient research on the nature and status of water resources in Mizoram and Lunglei district in particular has resulted in the lack of proper utilization of water resources and their quality. This paper details the application of a decision tree algorithm for classification of soil types. The productivity of agriculture depends on environmental conditions and soil types. Soil dataset of particular area is downloaded from the Kaggle website for the purpose of finding the classification of soil types and based on the types of soil predicted the agriculturist will sow the seed. In this paper Soil types are classified by applying Bayesian approach to Decision Tree algorithm with Bayesian model is used for finding the classification of soil types. The idea behind is rather simple but powerful. The proposed algorithm of ers some unique features not to be found in any other tree inducers while at the same time it can produce better results for many dif icult problems. Experimental results are presented which illustrate the performance of generating best decision tree for classifying soil type from the given soil dataset. The Algorithm of Bayesian approach to Decision Tree helps to classify the soil types more accurately than the existing Algorithms KNN, SVM and Decision Tree selected for this research paper.

The Aluminium Metal Matrix Composites (AMMC's) provides high strength and stif ness to the metals, so it is utilised in the applications like robots, high speed rotating shafts, high speed machinery etc. The AMMCsrequires a fabrication process to improve its mechanical properties. Some of the previous researches has been involved in applying the reinforced AMMC’s in Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) to analysis its characteristics. In this research study, the hybrid AMMC’s is used in the EDM process to analysis the optimum input conditions. The combination of Al7075, Boron Carbide (3%), and Zirconium dioxide (15%) are utilized for analysing the EDM process. The Stir Casting method is used for fabrication of hybrid AMMC’s. In addition, Orthogonal array is used to analyse the parameters; Tool Wear Rate (TWR), Surface Roughness (SR) and Maximum Material Removal (MRR) rate on the basis of voltage (V), current (I), pulse-on time () and pulse-of time (). By varying the input parametric values like ,,  and , the output performance measures; TWR, SR and MRR are analysed in the experimental section. The objective of the work was to investigate bi-axial characteristics of composite materials with cruciform geometry in both experimental and numerical techniques. The glass reinforced fibers with epoxy composites prepared by hand lay-up technique with various stacking sequences such as 0 0 /90 0 , 45 0 /45 0 , 15 0 /75 0 and 30 0 /60 0 . The fabricated composites were machined in cruciform shape, having dif erent notches namely circular, square and rhomboidal according to ASTM – D6856 standard by abrasive water jet machining to ensure dimensional accuracy of ± 0.1mm. The prepared cruciform specimens were tested using a biaxial fixture developed indigenously by taking the specifications of universal testing machine. The Young’s modulus, proof stress, ultimate tensile strength and fracture toughness were evaluated for 16 specimens of dif erent fibre orientations and notches using software. The response from the biaxial tensile testshowed highest stress developing in [0 0 /90 0] GFRP composites of 61.37 MPa with highest ultimate tensile strength of 71.93 MPa experimentally. Numerical simulation with ANSYS was showing maximum stresses developing in [0 0 /90 0] GFRP composites 65.37 MPa.

The efficiency of Zinc Oxide nanoparticles on removal of E124 dye in aqueous solution has been studied. Different factors and parameters that affect the degradation efficiency of E124 dye were studied including the initial concentration of pollutant, pH of solution, treatment time, concentration of ZnO nanoparticle (ZnO NP), temperature and salt addition. Under the achieved optimal conditions (initial concentration of dye solution 5ppm, treatment time 80 min, concentration of ZnO NP 0.08g, pH 7 and temperature of 40 0C) for best removal of E124 dye from aqueous solution the efficiency of ZnO NP doped with Ag+ was tested. Different amounts of Ag+ % doped on ZnO NP from 0.5 to 2% were tested and the highest dye removal % of 92 was achieved at 1 % Ag+ doping of ZnO NP.

Nigeria is ranked one of the main producers of crude oil in Africa and due to this, oil exploration activities have occasioned high rate of gas flaring which was intensified by poor enforcement of anti-gas flaring laws by the regulatory authorities. Associated natural gas is generated from oil production and it is flared in large volumes, thereby leading to the emission of greenhouse gases and a waste of natural resources which could have potentially spawned billions of dollars for the Federal government. Nigerians are apprehensive that if nothing is done to combat this menace, the environment and man will be at risk due its damaging consequences. There is therefore the need to stop gas flaring by replicating the approaches used in the relatively advanced petroleum countries like Norway to tackle the menace. The research is an appraisal of legal frameworks regulating gas flaring in Nigeria’s Upstream Petroleum Sector. It is a doctrinal legal research that adopts a library-based research approach. Weak enforcement and ambiguity of some anti-gas flaring laws are largely identified as the key factors responsible for the menace. It recommends the use of more advanced technologies, sophisticated mixture of regulations and none-regulatory incentives such as fiscal policies, gas market restructuring and prof er practical suggestions. The effect of the nature and concentration of coagulants on the effectiveness of reducing the colour intensity with varying the concentration of sorbent from 1 to 3 g/l and coagulants Al2(SO4)3 and FeCl3, respectively 0.5; 0.75 mg/l. It has been shown that from the mentioned reagents the optimal option is the use of aluminium sulfate and iron chloride as a coagulant, as a flocculant - anionic polyacrylamide in concentrations of 0.5 mg/l, 0.75 mg/l and 0.5 mg/l respectively. It is determined that application of coagulants and flocculant for treatment of wastewater of silkworm production makes it possible to achieve required parameters of quality of treatment, at that efficiency of treatment on suspended substances makes 94.0-97.0%, on COD 87.0-91.0%, on dyes 91.0-94.0%.

Aluminium Metal matrix Composites (AMC) is being extensively used in various field of life, especially in aerospace and automotive industries, because of its good thermal stability and excellent specific strength. AMCs are well known for high strength to weight ratio and high temperature applications. Currently the main research activities are carried out using Al 6061 brake rotor for four wheelers. Only few research works are reported in the case of two wheeler brake rotors. But still Al 6061 brake rotor are not used in motorcycles perhaps due to heat treatment distortion of thin disc. As reported by Sadagopan et al [1] only brake pads wear out faster but their research study was not carried out extensively on brake pad wear. In the present study, wear behaviour of SiC particles reinforced with Aluminium Matrix composites have been investigated. Al 6061 discs were made with 10%, 15% and 20%SiC particles by stir casting and machined to fit as a disc in pin on disc tribometer. Using Taguchi Design of Experiments, the experiments were carried out with 4 factorials and 3 levels based on L9 orthogonal array and the results are discussed.

The four satellite images of year 1990, 2000, 2009 and 2018 were acquired of Path & Row as 146/39 from the USGS site with an aim to produce a LULC map of Dehradun valley in order to detect the changes. The analysis of result shows the rise in built-up area from 19.70 % to 26.72 % an increase in agriculture area from 9.53 % to 12.23 % an increase in barren land from 18.20 % to 25.38 % a reduced in green cover (vegetation) from 47.02 % to 40.94% and a decrease in water bodies from 5.52 % to 4.7 %. Surface runoff increased from 187.23 mm/year in 1990 to 5l0.78 mm/year in 20l8. The average discharge from the basin area of the study for particular year has increased at large extend i.e. from 0.350 cumecs in 1990 to 2.368 cumecs in 2018

This article deals with the development of a new composition of a polymer composition for dressing cotton yarn. The optimal concentration of the dressing polymer composition, which is 50 g/kg, against the starch-based dressing is 70 g/kg, i.e. the consumption of starch is reduced by 25-30%. It is experimentally established that the concentration of the dressing, which has a significant impact on the cost of the dressing, varies within 45-50 g/kg of the composition, while the true glue remained at the same level.
Theoretically, the interaction between the polymer groups and the reactive groups PVA and HIPAN is justified. The products resulting from this interaction contain, in particular, amide -CONH, carbamide - NHCONH, carbamate - ОСОNH2, ester - ОСО and other groups. Their presence in the macromolecules of the polymer composition makes it possible to improve the elastic, structural and mechanical properties, and to reduce the electronegativity of the adhesive film formed on the yarn during sizing.
The optimal technological parameters of preparation of dressings based on the polymer dressing material for composition. At the same time, it was found that the use of these preparations makes it possible to give the coated cotton yarn good quality and technological properties, to produce fabric on high-performance weaving equipment with a reduction in breakage by 35-40%, and an increase in productivity by 5.0-10.0%.

Managing IS security risks becomes a priority to organisations. IoT heightens the concerns toward IS security management in terms of safeguarding the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of citizens’ information. Recognising the value of protecting information, organisations in a Smart City require solutions to manage the IS security. The existing approach is ineffective as it does not specifically factor in IoT implementation security risks to manage IS security successfully. Thus, this paper intended to identify a set of critical success factors (CSF) for managing IS security in an IoT-enabled Smart City. For this purpose, IS security and IoT security management aspects were combined to identify key factors for managing IS security for an IoT-enabled SC. This study applied the qualitative approach, where document analysis on existing studies, reports, and official documents was carried out. The seven critical factors were identified for IS security management for IoT, including policy and guideline standardization, organisational management, citizen engagement, system integration, IoT readiness, risk management, and technology adoption. Understanding these CSF will enable stakeholders to plan city development strategies, particularly in safeguarding information.

The 2 alternative layouts of bottle selection plant were evaluated by 4 criteria (1) Utilization of storage area 2) Utilization of operation area 3) Transport distance and 4) Percent of efficiency) and analytical hierarchy process (AHP). The result showed that first plant was suitable for the previous factory. The result shown Utilization of storage area was 46.34% more than the current layout that was 31.71% or increase 14.63%. Utilization of operation area decrease from 68.29% to 53.66% or decrease 14.63%. As part of a study to investigate the impact of running together in a social setting across the virtual platform, a virtual running system that allows users to run together in a group at dif erent time and dif erent location is proposed. This paper reports the users’ requirements in order to design and develop a virtual running system. The overview architecture of the proposed system comprised of a virtual running data server, virtual running applications and android smartphone is also presented in this paper. The need for low-bitrate speech coding algorithms continues, supported by the ever-increasing number of users” in wireless communication networks. Linear Prediction coders form important class speech coders with low bitrates. This paper describes the software level simulation and performance evaluation of CELP (4.8Kbps), LD-CELP (16 Kbps), MELP (2.4 Kbps), and CS-ACELP (8Kbps, 6.4 Kbps) speech coders. Even though all e coder outputs match with the input signal, the results from the error resilience test and MOS score show that the output quality of CS-ACELP is much better than the other three coders. The CS-ACELP coder performed well both in a quiet environment and in a noisy environment at a bitrate of 6.4Kbps.

The variations in properties were studied with addition of nano sized reinforcement and heat treatment followed by forging of the nanocomposites. Recently applicant information services and interview-assistance services based on big data and AI technology are distributed rapidly worldwide to introduce an interview system that secures efficiency and fairness in the job interview market. Accordingly, this study presents an AI-based interview system developed based on deep-learning technology in which more than 100,000 evaluation data sets were derived from 400,000 interview image data sets. The resulting AI interview system has been applied to enterprises with a reliability of 0.88 Pearson score. Particularly, applying this system to 5 major public enterprises in Korea is presented in this paper. It turned out that the level of satisfaction with fairness and efficiency was as high as 85% in such aspects as evaluation processes, job fitness, and organization fitness. As the applicable range of AI-based solutions is expanding to the general area of personnel management with its time and cost efficiency, as well as reliability and fairness recognized, the deep learning-based job interview solution proposed by the present study needs to be applied widely to written examinations and personality and aptitude tests.

In thisstudy, an attempt has been made to measure the performance of IPT in Guwahati, India, based on seven Key Performance Indicators (KPI) using Benchmarking. Performance of these KPIs is reported through a Level of Service (LOS) scale ranging from LOS 1 to LOS 4 depicting best to worst service quality. It has been found that IPT of Guwahati have better travel speed and comfort with LOS 1. The performance areas that need to be improved are average waiting time, extent of supply and GPS for IPT which attain service levels of LOS 3, LOS 4, and LOS 4. The service levels of vehicle occupancy and safety are found to be satisfactory with service level of LOS 2.

Trash is an inevitable by-product in human life. However, emptying a trash bin takes labor and time to identify and vacate at home and on the streets. To address the issue, this paper proposes a waste level detection system that can automatically measure the amount trash of a bin at a low cost. The proposed system employs the state-of-the-art Internet of Things (IoT) technology; it consists of an inexpensive mini vibration motor, acceleration and weight sensors, and IoT platform. The motor generates vibrations periodically that are captured by the accelerometer. Data with weight information is analyzed to detect fill-level of a trash bin. To this end, we employ a k-nearest neighbor algorithm. This paper develops a prototype and runs extensive experiments to evaluate accuracy performance of the proposed system. Results show that the system can measure waste level with accuracy of 75.39% on average and 94.7% on maximum.
