Global processes of trade and finance are shaping employment structures and relationships, wages and working conditions, opportunities for women and men, and their participation in paid work. This paper focuses on two aspects of these global processes: first, global supply chains and production networks that reflect the current nature and pattern of international trade and investment; and second, the international migration of care services workers. These two aspects particularly illuminate women's position and issues pertaining to gender equality. The main questions posed in this paper are: Have these two facets of globalization enhanced women's economic opportunities and the value of their labour vis-a-vis that of men or are these generating poor conditions of employment and reinforcing social divisions along sex, ethnicity and race? This paper documents the reversal of pension privatization and the reforms that took place in the 1990s and 2000s in Poland. The report analyses the political economy of different reform proposals, and the characteristics of the new pension system, including laws enacted, coverage, benefit adequacy, financing and contribution rates, governance and social security administration, social dialogue, positive impacts and other key issues of Poland’s pension system.

In the article one of the ceramic centre’s in the area of South Aral sea, craft potential of Mizdakhkan which is at the period of Golden Horde is analyzed. Resources of the article consist of a 30 year`s researches of the author at this object. In the XIII−XIV centuries the city became a center of trade-craft on the different branches by economical side. In the researches there is information about potter`s stove, form of organization of labour and wide–spread of local products in the neighbor regions, in the central and west parts of the country of Golden Horde. Potter`s products consist of single, paired and more division departments of Mizdakhkan products that red pottery grey pottery and black pottery of ceramic are produced.

This paper, authored by Elisa Van Waeyenberge and Hannah Bargawi, examines the main trends in growth, employment, poverty and inequality in Uganda over the last decade, pointing to, inter alia, a lack of absorption of workers into high productivity sectors, with resulting implications for conditions of employment, poverty and inequality. The authors argue that the limited structural transformation is a result insufficient expansion in productive capacities by the private sector, against the backdrop of a historically weak public investment programme and a persistently lop-sided integration in international trade circuits. The authors also argue that the macroeconomic policy agenda has restricted the scope for a fundamental transformation of the Ugandan economy necessary to support much-needed job creation and increases in the standard of living.
