These values are sent over the web domain to the Android-based device. The main purpose of the project is to help analyst obtain their industry environment at home and to keep a record of their measurements. Temperature can vary throughout the day depending on activity. One or two measurements taken at different times are not enough to properly define the environment temperature. It is preferable to take numerous measurements. It is in your interest to carry out a large number of measurements. In our project we are successfully integrating temperature sensor IC LM35 and gas sensor MQ-6 with the ARM kit LPC2148 from where the readings are successfully transferred to the mobile device.

Embedded computing both hardware and software occupy an important place in India’s economy by providing more than billions jobs in this sector. Embedded system is trend for engineers. Real world problem importantly in embedded system is hardware and software design and utilization. The concept underlying theory in embedded hardware i.e. microcontroller and microprocessor platform and embedded software ie. Programming in c, c++, java etc requires challenging task, integration and testing to students both graduate and post graduate.
To have implementation skill and optimization close to ‘embedded microcontroller’ platform this paper address basic skill in hardware, software design and development to understand the theory and is very important in context to products development approach. The purpose of this paper is to present our approach in learning software and hardware solution. We summarized recent progress and trying to provide new comparative insight using 8051, AVR, and ARM embedded microcontrollers. Better exploring the performance, compatibility, features with various other key features which will help in direction to provide new prospective to embedded system design and development.

ABSRACT Motor vehicles are the prime source of transportation where vehicles with A/C play a major part. This paper designs an embedded system for a vehicle cabin, which senses the gases like carbon-monoxide and oxygen and displayed at each and every second. If the level of the CO increases than the normal level (30ppm) or the level of the oxygen decreases than the normal level (19%) then an alarm is generated automatically and also ventilation is provided immediately. A warning message is sent to the authorized user via GSM. The advantage of this system is proper detection and faster response time leading to faster diffusion of the situation, compared with the manual methods.

The continuing miniaturization of technology coupled with wireless networks has made it feasible to physically embed sensor network systems into the environment. Sensor net processors are tasked with the job of handling a disparate set of interrupt driven activity, from networks to timers to the sensors themselves. In this paper, we demonstrate the advantages of a tiny multi-threaded microcontroller design which targets embedded applications that need to respond to events at high speed. While multi-threading is typically used to improve resource utilization, in the embedded space it can provide zero-cycle context switching and interrupt service threads (IST), enabling complex programmable control in latency constrained environments. To explore the advantages of multi-threading on these embedded problems, we have implemented in hardware a family of controllers supporting eight dynamically interleaved threads and executing the AVR instruction set. What determines the value an MNC's headquarters adds to its own affiliates? In this paper, we shed light on this question by linking the embeddedness view of the multinational corporation to the literature on parenting advantage. We test our hypotheses on an original dataset of 124 manufacturing subsidiaries located in Europe. Our results indicate that the external embeddedness of the MNC is an antecedent to headquarters' value creation. We find that headquarters' investments into their own relationships with the subsidiaries' contexts are positively related to the value added by headquarters. Furthermore, this relationship is stronger when the subsidiary itself is strongly embedded. We discuss implications for the MNC literature, embeddedness research, and the literature on parenting and headquarters' roles. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

The present day Systems are operating in two or more frequency bands, requiring Dual or even triple band operation with narrowband antennas. This requirement is demanding a lot more of research in the field of antenna design. These include GPS, Satellite navigation system, wireless cellular system and LANs. Recent advances in the software defined and reconfigurable radio networks allow the multiple band operation of the systems. One of the specific advantage of the software defined reconfigurable radio network is that the operating frequency can be changed even after the device is manufactured. A multiband Microstrip patch antenna is simulated by meandering the slots to reduce the overall dimensions of the patch and to make the system much more embedded, the performance of the antenna is optimized and analyzed using the Ansoft high frequency structure simulator (HFSS). The antenna is designed to function satisfactorily in the radio band of L, S, C and X, Covering a wide range of radio frequency. Antenna has the six active frequency bands and the Centre frequency of the bands are 1850 MHz, 2910 MHz, 5580 MHz, 6880 MHz, 8340 MHz, 9430 MHz respectively. Out of frequency bands L and S are employed in mobile communication while the C and X band are used in the satellite communication purpose. The proposed antenna provides good return loss S11 and VSWR in the range of 1 < VSWR < 1.5 for all the operating band of frequencies.

Here it is proposed a conceptual model for geographic location of points in two dimensions, by the use of triangulation. The triangulation method here described operates on an Ultra-wideband (UWB) Timed-array module with center frequency of 4GHz. The technique consists in two arrays of planar antennas located at predetermined points, which serve as receptor for new portable UWB transmitter equipped with an omnidirectional planar antenna. The relative coordinates are then computed using proposed mathematical models. The transmitter circuit was designed using 180nm Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) – IBM (7WL_5LM_MA) process and the planar antennas were designed on FR-4 substrate. Post-Layout Spice circuit simulations show the generation of pulses with 94.5mVpp amplitudes and 514ps width. The consumption is around 677µW per pulse using a 1.8V power supply at 100MHz pulse repetition rate (PRR). 3D electromagnetic simulations were performed using CST Microwave Studio 2011, with an accuracy of less than 0.1m.
