Mobile operators currently prefer optimizing their radio networks via re-homing or cutting over the cell sites in 2G
or 3G networks. The core network, as the parental part of radio network, is inevitably impacted by the re-homing in radio domain. This paper introduces the cell site re-homing in radio network and analyzes its impact on the performance of GSM/UMTS core network. The possible re-homing models are created and analyzed for core networks. The paper concludes that appropriate re-homing in radio domain, using correct algorithms, not only optimizes the radio network but also helps improve the QoS of the core network and saves the carriers’ OPEX and CAPEX on their core networks

Any distribution network is probably going to urge faults, on and off the supplier likewise as user. During the event of any fault, the event goes unreported for long length of your time. Manual reporting can result in long interruption; it may take lot of time. To beat the issue, a model is built that finds the variations in voltage values, with the utilization of a circuit based on micro controller. The faults are often classified supported comparison between the values received from rated guidelines of the distribution side power lines. Whenever the present line is failed, the micro controller instantly initiates a message to the concerned person accordingly the control node expressing the specific road area where deficiency is occurring. A significant motivation behind identifying issue in real time is to protect the transformer at the soonest. The framework is planned to identify the place of issue in underground transmission network from the source place in terms of kms, to locate the failure spot, the link should be tried and tested for flaws. At whatever point the defect happens in underground cable network, it's very complex to identify the specific area of where the issue occurred and procedure of fixing that specific cable, so this framework provides an easiest way to identify the fault with the utilization of the facilities and factors provided in the field of IoT. This paper is about the development and implementation of a GSM based password protected control system for electrical home appliances that enables to control remotely. GSM module is used for receiving short message service (SMS) from user’s mobile phone that automatically enable the controller to take any further action such as to switch ON or OFF the home appliances such as lights, airconditioners, fans, water pumps, door locks, TVs etc. Hardware of the system has been developed using an Arduino Uno board, a GSM modules, some switching relays and some other easily available electronic components. The driving software has been made using the Arduino IDE. The system is activated when only the user sends the SMS to the controller at home with the exact password. Security is a feeling of being free from Danger or threat. It would be the prime factor for any sort of situation. Security may indicate a building’s ability to protect against external harm events such as home invasion. Some categories fall under the security system such as:- Home/Residential Security system, Computer Security System, Commercial Security System, Fire Alarm System , Personal Safety System etc. Fundamentally, in every home there is a locking system for security purpose but that’s not enough because intruder could easily break that locks. In previous research work, there were security systems which provide burglar alarms or GSM modems for sending messages to mobile phone or password entering system using Public Switched Telephone Network. But in these research works there were no locking systems. In this thesis work, A Home Security system had been designed and developed. A microcontroller (MCU AT89S52) based system is designed to detect the intruder using Diffused in line IR sensors and Shock sensors as well as lock system is used to automatically lock the intruder if it tries to get in to the room. A GSM module is also used to send SMS knowing about the intruder in the room. An LCD is used to show that sensors detect the intruder and to show the mobile numbers of room’s owner. Buzzer has been also attached which starts buzzing whenever intruder enters into the room. Thus a home automated system is designed to detect and lock the intruder for home /residential security system. This thesis work had been tested by using IR sensor’s receiving and transmitting end attached to both side of wooden door and the door is locked. When intruder tries to forcefully unlock the door then shock sensors sense the shock and buzzer will start buzzing and GSM module will send SMS to the saved mobile number. When intruder unlock the door and enter into the room then IR sensor sense intruder entering into the room and GSM module will Send SMS and simultaneously automatic lock system is activated and intruder will lock into the room. This proposed work presents an implementation of model for Security System. This had features of GSM module for sending SMS and locking system to lock the intruder.

Furthermore, this paper also proposes the design and implementation of a low-cost embedded system using Global Positioning System (GPS) which displays these Ads on real-time passenger information display system inside the vehicle. Path loss Propagation models plays a fundamental role in planning and designing of mobile radio communication link. In this paper a building penetration path loss model was developed using AUTOCAD. The model involved the combination of three mechanisms of signal propagation; refraction, reflection and diffraction. The signal penetration through building wall was modelled as refraction using Fresnel Refraction Coefficient and the signal propagation through the roof was modelled as diffraction using the principle of knife-edge diffraction. The developed building penetration path loss model was compared with some empirical path loss models namely, Log distance path loss, Okumura, HATA and COST-231 models and the results showed that the models compared accurately with the existing path loss models. Hence, it can be stated that the developed building penetration path loss model can be used to accurately predict signal attenuation in buildings located in an urban environment.

Attacks on the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) has increased dramatically over the past decade which has inspired the utilization of biometrics with picture for individual distinguishing proof to obtain elevated level of security and precision. The task depicts a framework that replaces the ATM cards and PINs by the physiological biometric unique finger impression confirmation and face acknowledgment. Also, the element of one-time secret key (OTP) bestows security to the clients and liberates him/her from reviewing PINs. In this framework during enlistment the authentic client's unique finger impression and face is held in the database. Present scenario of nations security has become an important constrain. During war, tactics is main factor in any country’s security. There are many concerns regarding the safety of the soldiers M-Health enables GPS (Global positioning system) tracking of these soldiers using Smart sensor. GPS used to log the longitude and latitude so that direction can be known easily. A personal server will provide the connection to the server at the base station using a wireless communication. Every soldier’s belt is integrated with GSM (Global system for Mobile communication) module which enables the communication with the base station in case of injuries & calamities. This end-of-year report discusses how this intelligent stick is built and how it will help visually impaired people in their everyday lives, and has as objective to permit visually impaired people in Cameroon to navigate freely using an Ultrasonic Smart Stick, to send SMS notifications to family members, to permit family members to tract them, to find the cane in the case of loss. As such we used the APTE (Application of Professional Method) based on the Value Analysis (VA) methodology which permitted us to do: need analysis by using a Horned Beast diagram and an Octopus diagram to define our needs and show the link between different elements of the project respectively, to do functional analysis using Function Analysis System Technic (FAST) diagrams to define our project’s functions and arrive at technological solutions, and to do structured analysis using SADT (Structured Analysis Design Technic) to show a model of our project. We used a breadboard to simulate our project and then we used a software ISIS in Proteus to show the pinout of our system and ARES, still in Proteus, to draw our Printed Circuit Board (PCB); also, we used Arduino IDE to program in C-language our two microcontroller boards Arduino Nano, and MIT App Inventor to program and generate the Android installation package
(the apk file) of the Smart Stick Finder app, which will help the person with visual impairment to both locate his cane and after finding his cane, to mute it by sending vocal commands to the Arduino Nano through its Bluetooth device. After assembling our system, we did some tests and
noticed that: the ultrasonic sensor has an absolute error of 1cm in its readings, the higher the water level the more sensitive the water sensor becomes in its readings, the motor and the buzzer vibrate and beep respectively as expected, the accuracy of GPS readings depend on the last time that the readings were taken, and the GSM module’s accuracy depends on the network. Our project permitted us to solve the problem of visual impairment using a Smart Stick and we can rightfully and joyously conclude that we had a 95% success.

Wireless automation in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity and billing has come of age. Traditional metering methods for retrieving the energy data of consumers is not convenient. The present system of energy billing is error prone, time, resource and labour consuming. The problem worsens when consumers try to bypass meter units, thereby pay less than what is actually consumed or the case of overbilling by the Electricity Company as the case in many Nigerian houses. This paper presents the design and implementation of a GSM based remote operation of an energy meter which proffers the solution to power theft, consumption control, auto billing and payment, data logging and labour reduction in power distribution and management The objective of this project is to facilitate energy consumption measurement and its corresponding billing scheme. The materials and method deployed herein is the use of a microcontroller unit that continually monitors the meter interfaced with a GSM MODEM with a dedicated SIM for remote operations. Implementasi Internet of Things (IoT) dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi kerugian waktu yang dialami pemilik motor ketika motornya dicuri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan sistem yang mampu mendeteksi secara dini gejala pencurian motor dan secara instan mengirimkan notifikasi ke ponsel pengguna ketika memang terdeteksi. Gejala pencurian motor yang dimaksud meliputi tiga parameter sederhana yang masukannya diambil dari tiga sensor berbeda, yakni adanya gerakan di depan lubang kunci motor, adanya tekanan pada jok motor, serta adanya pergerakan motor dari kondisi diam. Sistem juga dirancang untuk dapat menampilkan status keamanan motor serta posisi terakhir motor pada aplikasi Android sederhana. Status keamanan motor diproses oleh Arduino dan dikirimkan menggunakan modul GSM ke layanan penyimpanan data di internet yang kemudian dikirimkan ke aplikasi Android di ponsel pengguna. Hasil pengujian fungsionalitas sistem pada penelitian ini belum sesuai dengan perancangan dikarenakan adanya kegagalan pemrosesan data yang mengakibatkan terganggunya proses pengiriman data oleh sistem.

Solid waste is one of the biggest problem of civil society. In this project, agriculture waste from bagasse and banana fibers have been used to produce handmade paper. These fibers were collected, dried under the sun and passed through water vat to remove dust. Next, it is cooked with 10% caustic solution in pressure cooker and then blended in mixer for different timing. Diluted solution of Clorox was used for discoloration and purification of pulp.
Three types of papers were made from ready pulp. First type was by made by using raw material only, second type by addition of 2% of CaCO3 and 2% of starch. And the third types by addition of 5% of both additives. These papers were dried and then ironed for straightening.
GSM, pH, Thickness, Bulk, and Moisture Content were calculated for all types of papers. It was found that papers from bagasse fibers are heavy and suitable for heavy and rough usage. While paper from banana fibers are useful for soft usage like tissues, wipes, tracing paper etc. This project is ecofriendly as it used agricultural waste and only little electricity was used.

le GSM, et développé spécifiquement pour les applications et les communications
ferroviaires. Il utilise une bande de fréquence 876-880MHZ pour les communications
montante et 921-925MHZ pour les communications descendantes.
L’objectif de notre projet c’est de résoudre les problèmes de système actuel de la
SNCFT qui consiste à réaliser le dimensionnement et la planification du réseau ferroviaire
GSM-R, pour la SNCFT. Ce réseau a pour objectif de maintenir l'exploitation et la sécurité
ferroviaire sur un réseau très étendu malgré les ressources nettement insuffisantes pour la
maintenance (entretien et renouvellement) de l’infrastructure.
Nous avons traité, en particulier le cas de déploiement d’un réseau GSM-R dans la ligne
du « Tunis-Bizerte » comme une première zone d’étude. Nous avons effectué des analyses
différentes et approfondies par l’outil « MentumPlanet » qui prédit plusieurs paramètres de
planification tels que le niveau du signal. Nous avons proposé quelques solutions

The problem of wild animal attacks on crop fields i.e. crop vandalization becoming a very common phenomenon in the state of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and many other states. Wild animals like monkeys, estray animals especially cows and buffaloes, wild dogs, bison's, elephants, deer, wild pigs and even birds like parakeets cause a lot of damage to crops either by running over them or eating them and vandalizing them completely. This leads to poor yield of crops. These animals attack on fruit orchards and destroy the flowerings and fruits. In both cases, this leads to significant financial loss to the farmers and orchard owners. The problem is so pronounced that sometimes farmers decide to leave the area barren due to these animal attacks. The main aim of our project is to protect the crops from damage caused by animal as well as divert the animal without any harm. Animal detection system is designed to detect the presence of animal and offer a warning. In this project we used PIR and ultrasonic sensors to detect the movement of the animal and send signal to the controller .It diverts the animal by producing sound and signal further, this signal is transmitted to GSM and which gives an alert to farmers.

There is a great need by GSM and Wi-Fi users in and around the Engineering complex in Federal Polytechnic Ilaro for an optimization of signal reception. In the course of the little research and observations carried out, it was observed that signal reception at this point is ironic to its neighboring building (i.e. Engineering departmental blocks) as signal reception have been boosted in the aforementioned place, leaving the complex (especially, the block of offices and laboratories) a blind spot because the building is made up of reinforced concrete with solid metal framework. From the understanding of telecommunication signal propagation, it will be recalled that such high-rise buildings and metal or reinforced concrete creates a divergence to the travelling waves from the nearby transmitting antennas. This project is meant to solve the problem of poor or weak signal reception in the building by creating an uprising receiving antenna for the building which will transmit through a coaxial cable to a transmitting antenna situated in the middle of the building thereby working on the principle of a signal repeater.

When the air quality goes down beyond a certain level, means when there are sufficient amount of harmful gases are present in the air like CO2, smoke, alcohol, benzene and NH3. It will show the air quality in PPM on the LCD and as well as on web page so that we can monitor it very easily. In this IOT project, you can monitor the pollution level from anywhere using your computer or mobile. System is designed, implemented and tested to monitor the pinpoints of air pollution of any area.

The relationship between culture and consumer culture is a topic frequently discussed in the academic
field. Prevailing across the world capitalist economic order on the fact that people have to consume and
how consuming gave a rise to the emergence of consumption culture. In this study, the transmission of
culture, transporting and effective transforming of communication, while maintaining the consumption
of consumer culture has been argued that its audiences need to be internalized. Afterwards, the
publications of Telsim (Vodafone North Cyprus) being the professionally active GSM operator in
Northern Cyprus, PR news have been studied upon. As a result, two months of scanning the archives of
Telsim (Vodafone North Cyprus)'s reports on quantitative and qualitative content analysis were analyzed.
Keeping in mind the meanings which can be extracted from the obtained news on the distribution of PR

Solid waste is one of the biggest problem of civil society. In this project, agriculture waste from bagasse and banana fibers have been used to produce handmade paper. These fibers were collected, dried under the sun and passed through water vat to remove dust. Next, it is cooked with 10% caustic solution in pressure cooker and then blended in mixer for different timing. Diluted solution of Clorox was used for discoloration and purification of pulp.Three types of papers were made from ready pulp. First type was by made by using raw material only, second type by addition of 2% of CaCO3 and 2% of starch. And the third types by addition of 5% of both additives. These papers were dried and then ironed for straightening.GSM, pH, Thickness, Bulk, and Moisture Content were calculated for all types of papers.
