Higher education is a main factor in the competitiveness of nations and rises the competition and innovation in the internal markets. In order to achieve their goals HEIs need strategic planning and do need to successfully track their progress towards the set goals. This means that we need metrics which should measure the organizational performance at the institutional level and be used inside the organization to support the strategic process. The aim of the article is to suggest a framework for the evaluation of the HEI performance using the key performance indicators concept.

Resumen: El objetivo de este estudio es la revisión de una parte significativa de la literatura existente sobre indicadores en la web social, en el contexto del social media marketing, y la propuesta de una serie de indicadores para la Biblioteca social, que ayude a las unidades de información a evaluar el uso e impacto de los servicios que ofrecen a través de las herramientas de la web social o web 2.0, con el objetivo de poder obtener los costes y retorno de inversión (ROI) de dichos servicios. Aunque la evaluación es una tarea con larga tradición bibliotecaria, en este artículo nos planteamos valorar el ROI, como justificación necesaria ante las organizaciones que sustentan dichas unidades de información, demostrando el valor añadido que ofrecen los servicios de la web social. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan wacana yang terdapat dalam program Mata Najwa edisi
tanggal 04 Mei 2019 dengan tema “Cak Nun Antara KPK dan Teror”, dua tahun setelah penyerangan
terhadap Novel Baswedan. Emha Ainun Najib alias Cak Nun pada acara tersebut berbicara tentang
teror yang menimpa Novel Baswedan. Cak Nun menuding terduga dalang dibalik penyerangan
tersebut adalah pihak-pihak yang mengklaim dirinya peduli terhadap isu anti korupsi. Novel
mengatakan bahwa kasus penyerangan terhadapnya akan sulit diungkapkan. Penelitian ini
menggunakan analisis wacana kritis Van Dijk. Analisis wacana Van Dijk mengisyaratkan perlunya
melihat konteks, seperti wacana dalam Mata Najwa “Cak Nun Antara KPK dan Teror” maka perlu
dilihat situasi politik Indonesia dan proses pengungkapan kasus teror tersebut. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan terdapat beberapa wacana yang dibangun oleh Mata Najwa melalui tayangan tersebut,
yaitu pemerintah lambat dalam mengungkap kasus teror yang menimpa Novel Baswedan, hal ini
memperlihatkan belum terlaksana sepenuhnya demokrasi di Indonesia dan masyarakat peduli
terhadap KPK. Seharusnya lembaga struktur negara yakni KPK bekerja sama dengan masyarakat
guna saling membantu memberantas kasus korupsi di Indonesia.

There is little research literature on patient flow in rehabilitation. Accepted definitions of barriers to discharge and agreed performance measures are needed to support research and understanding of this topic. The potential of improved patient flow in rehabilitation to assist relieving demand pressures in acute hospitals underscores its importance. This study develops a definition of barriers to discharge from postacute care and classifies their causes using a multiphased iterative consultation and feedback process involving physiatrists, aged-care physicians, and senior nursing and allied health clinicians. Key performance indicators (KPIs) for postacute patient flow are then proposed, the development of which were informed by the available literature and a survey (nZ101) of physiatrists, aged-care physicians, and hospital managers with responsibility for patient flow who were questioned about the use of relevant KPIs in this setting. Most (>70%) respondents believed that using KPIs (eg, waiting time from acceptance by postacute care and ready for transfer until admission, percentage of postacute bed days occupied by inpatients with a discharge barrier) to measure aspects of patient flow could improve processes, but few reported collecting this information (45% admission KPIs, 19% discharge KPIs). By using the definition and classification of discharge barriers prospectively to document and address barriers, in conjunction with appropriate KPIs, postacute patient flow and the efficiency of hospital resource utilization can potentially be improved. Our commentary aims to stimulate interest among others to develop a more robust evidence base for improved flow through postacute care.

In Mexico, the Automotive Industry is one of the most important sectors, based on the amount of sales, as well as for the number of people employed. The level of competition facing firms to win OEM programs requires having a very strict control over the whole company's operation. System Dynamics is presented as a very powerful methodology for modeling the current and future situation of a company and combined with the Balanced scorecard concept, both provide a deep insight into the dynamics of the company. Based on this case of study a new methodology is proposed which provides a deeper insight on how the system works in such a way that the development of the company's strategy has greater impact. Through the simulation of 24 months into the future it is possible to understand the system´s behavior in terms of the interrelation of the most critical variables which were defined as the main KPI´s.

Thanks to the interoperability provided by the IFC standard, BIM technologies and IFC model servers are
beginning to enable a design environment where the exchange of information among the actors can be
synchronous and continuous using a single and central data model. Although this new set of technologies enables
concurrent design, the problems associated with managing the flow of information itself in a concurrent design
environment requires explicit management of editing rights and version control at the level of individual objects,
rather than at the file level. However, while these are technical issues that have standard solutions, managing
designers’ involvement in the process also becomes more challenging, requiring the development of new
management methods suitable for the BIM collaborative environment. Common problems such as information
‘overflow’, incomplete modelling solutions or incorrectly matched technical solutions, and inventories of work
in progress due to inattentive designers, if not treated methodically in the BIM platform, can quickly cause
bottlenecks for the advancement of the process. The bottlenecks result in process waste (such as time spent
waiting, large inventories of design information, processing sequences that cause unnecessary iterations, long
cycle times and schedule overruns, etc.). Application of concepts that allow structuring and measuring of the
information flow can improve the process and reduce the waste of resources, but there is no specific

methodology for measuring information flow in a BIM environment. Taking a previous study, in which seven
key performance indicators were developed and validated for application with conventional technology, as a
starting point, this work has developed the methodology for using these indicators in a BIM project.

In this report we propose a solution to problem of the dependency on the experience of the software project quality assurance personnel by providing a transparent, objective and measurement based quality framework. The framework helps the quality assurance experts making objective and comparable decisions in software projects by defining and assessing measurable quality goals and thresholds, directly relating these to an escalation mechanism. First results of applying the proposed measurement based software quality framework in a real life case study are also addressed in this report.

Decision makers in the educational field always seek new technologies and tools, which provide solid, fast answers that can support decision-making process. They need a platform that utilize the students' academic data and turn them into knowledge to make the right strategic decisions. In this paper, a roadmap for implementing a data driven decision support system (DSS) is presented based on an educational data mart. The independent data mart is implemented on the students' degrees in 8 subjects in a private school (Al-Iskandaria Primary School in Basrah province, Iraq). The DSS implementation roadmap is started from pre-processing paper-based data source and ended with providing three categories of online analytical processing (OLAP) queries (multidimensional OLAP, desktop OLAP and web OLAP). Key performance indicator (KPI) is implemented as an essential part of educational DSS to measure school performance. The static evaluation method shows that the proposed DSS follows the privacy, security and performance aspects with no errors after inspecting the DSS knowledge base. The evaluation shows that the data driven DSS based on independent data mart with KPI, OLAP is one of the best platforms to support short-tolong term academic decisions.

Bukan hanya secara sisi positif, tetapi terdapat juga resiko di dalam unsurnya. The paper concerns with formulae and calculations of a selected group of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the main electricity transmission system in Oman. These include the following service quality, reliability, security, and financial indicators:

The goal of presenting the paper at the GCC 09 is to open a discussion among transmission utilities in the Gulf region for the possibility of introducing common KPIs to evaluate system performance. This could provide an excellent opportunity to establish acceptable benchmarks of the proposed KPIs

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are used to inspect the performance and progress of businesses. This study introduces a new, integrated approach to manage KPIs in the context of decentralized information efficiently and to address the visual and managerial gaps existing in companies. The proposed Business Indicator Management (BIM) system is essential for any businesses to meet their needs in terms of information availability and agility as well as time efficiency and quality of the decision-making task. Thanks to BIM, executives are now able to obtain real-time information and analysis of the actual situation of their businesses, thus increasing their productivity. Today, no companies have yet this type of managing KPIs. Based on a detailed case study with a big-scale corporation, we thoroughly assess the effectiveness of BIM according to the system usability, data agility and decision making efficiency.

The purpose of CDA creation in June, 1960 was to see the planning and maintenance of the capital city. CDA is a public sector organization which is not only responsible for development of Islamabad but also performs all functions of municipal committee to provide for cleanliness, health, education, supply of goods and food etc. CDA is lagging quality in operations and projects. So to improve this quality deficiency in CDA we devised a research. The research methodology considers research through different secondary sources such as different websites, journals and research papers etc. By the use we above mentioned sources we have collected data for some of better performing urban development authorities in Pakistan and in the world. Than we compare operations and projects performance metrics for the enlisted enterprises. After this we studied existing operations and projects performance metrics of the capital development authority Islamabad. We have developed collective operations and projects performance metrics for CDA by comparing those of CDA with the enlisted three enterprises. To explore relevance and importance of collective operations and projects performance metrics; we have collected impressions of clients of CDA by using an online survey. The results are in favor of client satisfaction. Most of the users think client satisfaction is most important and relevant factor for CDA. On the same page, transparency was rated least by clients. The research identifies important areas for CDA which needs a lot of improvement. Clients rated construction time and cost on 7th number. This is main area as far as CDA is concerned and people rated it as least. So a lot improvement can be made in this area.

El trabajo presenta un proyecto para el estudio de caso del portal institucional de la Universidad de Chile, con el objetivo de entregar recomendaciones para su rediseño y el optimizar los ámbitos de extensión, postgrado e internacionalización. Abstract [EN]: Using web analytics it is possible to establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for university websites, which together with other metrics of competitive intelligence that come from cyber-metrics and social media, allow us to measure on a global scale the presence of higher education institutions on the Internet, and to characterize the behavior of their audience. As an input for information architecture, however, this method should be complemented by other user research techniques that deliver qualitative data. This document presents a project case study on the institutional website of the University of Chile, with the goal of providing recommendations for redesign, and optimization of the areas of outreach, graduate studies and internationalization.

As successful tourism firms invest heavily in marketing to defend or improve their competitive position, they increasingly need to measure their marketing performance. Previous studies related to tourism have largely focused on financial and operational performance, but the marketing perspective has been largely overlooked. Drawing on an in-depth investigation involving 12 hotel chains, 8 travel agencies and 8 tour operators, this study provides an overview of the state-of-the-art marketing performance measurements among some of the leading tourism firms in Italy. Several issues and unanswered questions are also identified.

Even though mobile radio systems deliver more and more performance data there is always a need to measure the performance of the network in the field. These measurements can either be part of the deploying new network sites inorder to meet coverage, capacity and quality requirements, optimization of the network, benchmarking of performance, trouble shooting, or to verify the performance after an upgrade or reconfiguration of the network. These measurements are performed through Drive Test and RF survey. Drive testing is principally applied in both the planning and optimization stage of network development. The paper focuses on the procedure of drive test and its importance in network planning.

Apa itu realitas? Bagaimana cara memahami dan mempersoalkanya? Pada dasarnya adalah pertanyan-pertanyaan yang sering lahir dalam diskursus filsafat. Dalam menjawab persoalan tersebut, filsafat melakukan berbagai macam proses pencarian melalui asumsi dan pembuktian. Proses tersebut terus berlanjut, hingga dari suatu pemahaman hingga ke pemahaman lainya. Jejak-jejak yang ditinggalkan dari proses tersebut inilah yang kemudian mengkristal menjadi berbagai macam disiplin ilmu, semisal matematika, fisika, sosiologi dan komunikasi dan penyiaran Islam (selanjutnya disingkat KPI) yang mana merupakan pembahasan utama dalam tulisan ini. Pada dasarnya tulisan ini bermaksud mencari (untuk tidak menyebutkan merumuskan) jejak-jejak filosofis dari rumpun keilmuan KPI. Hal ini menjadi penting sebagai landasan persepsi mahasiswa KPI dan masyarakat, dan juga mengingatkan kembali core value dari disiplin ilmu tersebut.

The general idea is that project management teams must consider other project success criteria, as well as better support their organization's business strategy, rather than just focus on meeting traditional time, budget, and performance goals. Quản trị chiến lược là một trong những nhiệm vụ hàng đầu của các ngân hàng thương mại. Trong khi có nhiều nghiên cứu tập trung vào các giai đoạn xây dựng và thực thi chiến lược, các phương pháp đánh giá điều chỉnh chiến lược chưa được đề cập nhiều. Bài báo trình bày phương pháp DEMATEL sử dụng để đánh giá và phân tích mối quan hệ giữa các chỉ số đánh giá hiệu quả công việc (KPI) trong quá trình quản trị chiến lược theo phương pháp thẻ điểm cân bằng (BSC). Dựa trên phương pháp này, hệ thống thông tin quản trị chiến lược (SMIS) sẽ thiết lập và thể hiện bản đồ chiến lược một cách trực quan, là cơ sở để các lãnh đạo ngân hàng đánh giá và điều chỉnh chiến lược. Từ khóa: Thẻ điểm cân bằng BSC; chỉ số đánh giá hiệu quả công việc KPI; phương pháp DEMATEL; bản đồ quản trị chiến lược. 1. Đặt vấn đề uốn tồn tại và phát triển, mỗi tổ chức đều phải xây dựng mục tiêu cũng như cách thức để đi đến mục tiêu đó, và đây chính là hệ thống chiến lược của tổ chức. Chiến lược đóng vai trò vô cùng quan trọng và được coi là kim chỉ nam trong hoạt động của mỗi tổ chức. Việc áp dụng Thẻ điểm cân bằng (Balance Scorecard-BSC) và Chỉ số đánh giá hiệu quả công việc (Key Performance Indicator-KPI) trong việc xây dựng và quản trị chiến lược không còn là nội dung mới mẻ đối với các ngân hàng trong nước. Đại đa số các ngân hàng đã sử dụng BSC và KPI để xây dựng chiến lược, đo lường và đánh giá hiệu quả hoạt động của nhân viên. Tuy nhiên, thực tế tại một số ngân hàng cho thấy, BSC và KPI chưa thể hiện đầy đủ vai trò và ý nghĩa trong việc cải thiện hiệu quả hoạt động. Việc triển khai và áp dụng BSC và KPI phần lớn mới dừng lại ở mức quyết tâm triển khai chứ chưa mang lại hiệu quả kỳ vọng.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI) has been outlined for implementing total quality management
(TQM) across logistics sector. This study constituted on the quality values of logistics firms in the logistics sector,
which is examined with key performance indicators through the integrated method of Analytic Hierarchy Process
(AHP) and SMART Goal Setting. The calculations were performed for logistics firms. The method used in this study
is the integrated method of the AHP Method and SMART Goal Setting. The results highlight the most mentioned
key performance indicators in the literature in a prioritized version also during the prioritizing process via AHP
Method, the SMART Goal Setting approach also is applied.

In order to investigate the economic performance of business processes, simulations are performed. These simulations determine values of key performance indicators (KPIs). We sought a valid solution to integrate KPIs in our Process Analysis Studio (PAS). Our investigation aims for a concept which describes a valid approach to deal with KPIs in multiple business process models. In this paper, we present a valid concept of a KPI calculation model. We describe which types of KPIs are needed in order to give users a huge amount of freedom to investigate different aspects of the process performance. Using scenarios could empower comprehensive investigations of different interrelated aspects of the process. From the presented concept of scenarios special requirements are derived which have to be considered in a concept of a KPI calculation model. The concept contributes to the discussion about the right design of a KPI calculation model. The presented approach could also be used in other process analysis solutions, in order to allow individual performance investigations.

This paper first introduces the architecture of general 3G communication system in both parts; packet switched (PS) and circuit switched (CS) networks and then applies statistical analysis to Key Performance Indicators (KPI) monitored from network entities in PS and CS network to guide the long term capacity planning and better coverage for the network by introducing a 3G network optimization cycle phases to analysis the problems from the KPIs and propose the suitable solution for these problems, our methodology is applied to a case study of a cellular communications service provider company report for UTRAN performance in a month. This UTRAN consist of two RNCs and 622 NodeBs. This report is proposed as an example of this case study and it's generated according to the proper UTRAN deployment company formulas; which is Huawei in this case.

The industrial macroeconomic environment in which companies are developed today is characterized by being highly demanding and competitive. Success or failure depends not only on the ability to adapt to market requirements, but also on the efficiency level of the applied practices. In this sense, the increase in productivity in warehouse operations has a direct influence on the optimization of logistic processes in the company, thus giving a competitive advantage. After studying the stock behavior using different criteria for ABC analysis, this paper proposes and analyzes different layout alternatives for reducing times and distances in warehouse activities, while increasing the storage capacity of the warehouse compared to the current situation. The present work is implemented on a real case study with specific conditions in the finished product warehouse of a glass packaging factory. A set of indicators was developed in order to evaluate the performances of the suggested layouts. Other suggestions on systems and division in zones of warehouse layout are presented in an attempt to increase productivity in warehouse processes.

Operators and service providers continue to look for ideas to monetize their networks while trying to provide maximum satisfaction to their customers. Allocate resources to users that can support high flow rates can monetize the network, but abandon users in poor conditions, which reduces the quality of service and user experience. An algorithm that manages the different classes of services, associated with the implementation of the differentiation of user categories proves to be an interesting compromise since flows are prioritized according to the services and user subscription.

Teknologi WCDMA menggunakan 1 kanal frekuensi yang digunakan secara bersama-sama yang masing-masing pengguna diberikan kode untuk membedakan satu pengguna dengan lainnya. Ada beberapa hal yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengamati performansi jaringan WCDMA, mulai dari masukan dan keluhan pelanggan, mengamati alarm sistem yang ada, melakukan drive test, hingga analisa terhadap trafik jaringan.
Parameter KPI hasil pengolahan yang digunakan untuk Implementasi antara lain RRC Attempt, RRC Failure, Call Setup Attempt, Call Setup Failure, HSDPA Setup Attempt, HSDPA Setup Failure, Call PS R.99 Drop, HSDPA Drop, Handover, dan Throughput. Parameter diatas menjadi dasar untuk penghitungan KPI Accessibility, Retainability, Integrity dan Mobility.
