An efficient and direct procedure has been developed for the preparation of amidoalkyl naphthols by a one-pot condensation of aryl aldehydes, β-naphthol and urea or amides, in the presence of potassium dodecatungstocobaltate trihydrate [K5CoW12O40 · 3H2O, (1 mol%)] as a heterogeneous catalyst. The reactions were carried out in 1,2-dichloroethane at room temperature or under solvent-free media at elevated temperature. The present methodology offers several advantages such as excellent yields, simple procedure and the catalyst exhibited remarkable reusability.

Information Technology implementation process is the study of design, development and implementation of computer-based Information Systems, particularly in software applications, computer hardware and networking in the organization. Software application usage in higher educational institutions has become an integral part of Information and knowledge management process tools. To this end most universities now has ICT department, which are responsible to design, develop and implement software's applications. The focus of this paper is to examine the challenges and prospects of using software products in Ethiopian higher education institutions. A survey was conducted at six universities to collect data about the extent, challenge and prospects of using software products by questionnaires, in-depth interview and observation. The overall analysis of the data shown that, In Ethiopian higher educational institutions, software products are not used sufficiently. Most of the departments are not supported by software's to perform tasks and provide standardized service. The challenges for the universities face not to use software products adequately are many directional. The major challenge goes to managers and leaders of the university; they are ignorant or not aware about the importance of using software products. In addition to this, resistance to use new technology, Lack of documentation / user manual, poor standardized infrastructure, poor internet connection, electric power interruption, shortage of trained professionals and staff turnover are serious challenges.

Software Design Patterns are reusable designs providing common solutions to the similar kind of problems
in software development. Creational patterns are that category of design patterns which aid in how objects
are created, composed and represented. They abstract the creation of objects from clients thus making the
application more adaptable to future requirements changes. In this work, it has been proposed and
implemented the creation of objects involved in Decorator Design Pattern. (Decorator Pattern Adds
Additional responsibilities to the individual objects dynamically and transparently without affecting other
objects). This enhanced the reusability of the application design, made application more adaptable to
future requirement changes and eased the system maintenance. Proposed DMS (Development Management
System) web application is implemented using .NET framework, ASP.NET and C#.

As organizations implement systematic software reuse programs to improve productivity and quality, they must be able to measure their progress and identify the most effective reuse strategies. This is done with reuse metrics and models. In this article we survey metrics and models of software reuse and reusability, and provide a classification structure that will help users select them. Six types of metrics and models are reviewed: cost-benefit models, maturity assessment models, amount of reuse metrics, failure modes models, reusability assessment models, and reuse library metrics.

A polymer-anchored Pd(II) Schiff base complex has been synthesized by reacting a polymeric amine with 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde to get the polymer-anchored Schiff base, which was then reacted with palladium acetate. The catalyst was characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic methods. It shows excellent catalytic activity in the Sonogashira coupling of phenylacetylene with aryl halides using triethylamine as a base and copper iodide as a co-catalyst in water under open air at 70 °C. We have also studied the effects of base and solvent on the coupling reaction. Sonogashira reactions of phenylacetylene with a variety of functionalized aryl halides were performed under the optimized reaction conditions. This catalyst gives excellent yields without the use of phosphine ligands. Further experiments showed that the catalyst can be used five times without much loss in the catalytic activity.

Reusability is an only one best direction to increase developing productivity and maintainability of application. One must first search for good tested software component and reusable. Developed Application software by one programmer can be shown useful for others also component. This is proving that code specifics to application requirements can be also reused in develop projects related with same requirements. The main aim of this paper proposed a way for reusable module. An process that takes source code as a input that will helped to take the decision approximately which particular software, reusable artefacts should be reused or not.

In this study, activated carbon (AC) from coconut shell, as a widely available agricultural waste, was synthesised in a simple one-step procedure and used to produce a magnetic Fe 3 O 4 /AC/TiO 2 nano-catalyst for the degradation of methylene blue (MB) dye under UV light. Scanning electron microscopy revealed that TiO 2 nanoparticles, with an average particle size of 45 to 62 nm, covered the surface of the AC porous structure without a reunion of its structure, which according to the TGA results enhanced the stability of the photocatalyst at high temperatures. The photocatalytic activities of synthesised AC, commercial TiO 2 , Fe 3 O 4 /AC, and Fe 3 O 4 /AC/TiO 2 were compared, with Fe 3 O 4 /AC/TiO 2 (1:2) exhibiting the highest catalytic activity (98%). Furthermore, evaluation of the recovery and reusability of the photocatalysts after treatment revealed that seven treatment cycles were possible without a significant reduction in the removal efficiency.

Service Oriented Architecture is one of the application architecture paradigms which is a product of evolutionary change over the years, starting from mainframe legacy applications to the current internet technologies, this evolution was due to several factors. Business and the Electronic Data Processing (EDP) department, as IT was known then were in their own silos independent of each other. Also, the change and complexity of both business as well as technology in last decade of the past century and first decade of 21 st century necessitated new thinking. Service is one of the main, enterprise wide strategy which will discussed in this paper.

Web has become an invaluable information resource with information explosion and searching a time consuming process. E-learning is day by day evolving with the web and has attained milestones like Mlearning and pervasive learning. LMS manage, document, track, covers and delivers educational resource termed as Learning Object (LO). LO’s stored in Learning Object Repositories (LOR) with metadata or catalogue. LO’s digital entities that act as an aid in edifying a subject in a syllabus. It contains information; objective and teaching methodology bind together. LOR’s have high variability on its description and its existing searching modules are not enough to fulfilling the user information requirements. This paper discuss lacuna of LOR’s and describes need of semantics web architecture in Learning object repositories through Semantic Learning Object

The use of ontologies for representing knowledge provides us with organization, communication and reusability. Information security is a serious requirement which must be carefully considered. Concepts and relations managed by any scientific community need to be formally defined and ontological engineering supports their definition. In this paper, the method of systematic review is applied with the purpose of identifying, extracting and analyzing the main proposals for security ontologies. The main identified proposals are compared using a formal framework and we conclude by stating their early state of development and the need of additional research efforts.

This study reports the design and evaluation process of an authoring tool that is developed for content developers and/or instructors to be able to reuse and repackage existing learning objects (LOs) according to existing instructional needs. The evaluation process included the usability and efficiency of this authoring tool with a sample group of 20 students working at the time of study through their master and/or doctoral degrees in the department of computer education and instructional technologies at a college of education. Tasks in the study included determining instructional needs, searching LOs in various repositories, and repackaging existing LOs by repurposing them. Finally, both quantitative and qualitative data were collected to assess the efficiency and the effectiveness of the tool by soliciting users' experiences. As a result of the study, it was determined that this tool is a practical content development and packaging tool for content developers and/or instructors. Suggestions concerning properties of similar authoring tools are reported and discussed as to reusability in various smart learning environments (SLE) by organizing content based on various instructional needs.
