Gebieten ohne direkte Anwohner.

In many countries, mobile operators have teamed up with social media platforms to offer free access to specific websites or internet services—including news websites. The most well-known of these offerings, Facebook’s Free Basics, has been explicitly pitched as a way to give citizens in developing countries greater access to news, but Facebook is not the only company touting these so-called “zero-rated” arrangements as a bridge across the digital divide. This report examines whether these arrangements are broadening access to diverse sources of news, as promised, and whether they might have broader consequences for the news market.

In this paper we use the OPNET modeler software to evaluate the Tunneling between IPv4 and IPv6 routing protocols, we create two scenarios in one topology the difference is based on the MDRR QoS profile. In the first scenario we used different TOS for each pair of clients and each pair uses different protocol, in the second scenario all the clients has the same TOS. The result shows that the two protocols can coexist without any problems. The migration from IPv4 to IPv6 must be implemented node by node by using auto-configuration procedures to eliminate the need to configure IPv6 hosts manually.

The purpose of this study is to propose an extended model of Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) by incorporating constructs drawn from the model of Expectation Disconfirmation Theory (EDT) and to examine the antecedents of users’ intention to continue using online shopping (continuance intention). Prior research has demonstrated that TPB constructs, including attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control, are important factors in determining the acceptance and use of various information technologies. These factors, however, are insufficient to explain a user's continuance intention in the online shopping context. In this study we extended TPB with two EDT constructs—disconfirmation and satisfaction—for studying users’ continuance intention in the online shopping context. By employing longitudinal method with two-stage survey, we empirically validated the proposed model and research hypotheses.

Mobile service provider is a company that offers transmission services to users of wireless devices through radio frequency (RF) signals rather than through end-to-end wire communication. In Malaysia, there are many mobile service provider that well known to Malaysian such as Maxis, Celcom, Digi and so on. Each of them have their own specialties. 217 samples have been selected randomly from the total students of UiTM Cawangan Kelantan Kampus Kota Bharu. The objectives of this research are to investigate the significance of factor influencing students in choosing mobile service provider, gender, average of spending on mobile service provider per month, expenditure per month and type of mobile service plan in contributing factors toward the usage of 1GB mobile internet per month less or equal to RM 15 by students. Also, to find the final binary logistics model to determine which independent variables that contributed to usage of 1GB mobile internet per month less or equal to RM 15 by students. Binary logistic regression was used to analyze the data in order to achieve the goals. In conclusion, the significance factor that influenced more on usage of 1GB mobile internet per month less or equal to RM 15 by students was type of mobile service provider plan and the final binary logistic model obtained was Z 2.989 – 1.837 Type of mobile service plan.

The expectation-confirmation model (ECM) of IT continuance is a model for investigating continued information technology (IT) usage behavior. This paper reports on a study that attempts to expand the set of post-adoption beliefs in the ECM, in order to extend the application of the ECM beyond an instrumental focus. The expanded ECM, incorporating the post-adoption beliefs of perceived usefulness, perceived enjoyment and perceived ease of use, was empirically validated with data collected from an on-line survey of 811 existing users of mobile Internet services. The data analysis showed that the expanded ECM has good explanatory power (R2=57.6%R2=57.6% of continued IT usage intention and R2=67.8%R2=67.8% of satisfaction), with all paths supported. Hence, the expanded ECM can provide supplementary information that is relevant for understanding continued IT usage. The significant effects of post-adoption perceived ease of use and perceived enjoyment signify that the nature of the IT can be an important boundary condition in understanding the continued IT usage behavior. At a practical level, the expanded ECM presents IT product/service providers with deeper insights into how to address IT users’ satisfaction and continued patronage.

sujet

This chapter is committed to give a comprehensive overview of the scalability problems of mobile Internet nowadays and to show how the concept of flat and ultra flat architectures emerges due to its suitability and applicability for the future Internet. It also aims to introduce the basic ideas and the main paradigms behind the different flat networking approaches trying to cope with the continuously growing traffic demands. The discussion of the above areas will guide the readers from the basics of flat mobile Internet architectures to the paradigm’s complex feature set and power creating a novel Internet architecture for future mobile communications.

As part of a broader Australian Research Council (ARC) funded project into the mobile internet we assume the enduring importance of news media diversity, as a policy priority in a convergent media era. The purpose of this news diversity research component of the ARC project is to investigate the implications of mobile news content provision, including for the development of media diversity policies. These Asian news case studies (in Hong Kong, South Korea, the People’s Republic of China [PRC] and Japan) explore the dynamic relations between old and new media industries and the transformations underway: the governance/content management of digital news apps and how this relates to other masthead content; their availability and how they are accessed; the usage patterns of particular news brand apps; and, their affordability together with platform access and handset histories, including branded/proprietary content arrangements associated with specific portals and telecommunications networks. The research draws on industry interviews with key personnel (in senior editorial, information technology [IT] and management roles) in selected news media organisations conducted in 2013 and 2014 in Hong Kong, Seoul, Beijing and Tokyo. In broad terms the research takes a political economy approach to media industry change and draws on the rubrics of “media convergence” and multi-platform evolution.

This report offers further analysis of the survey findings already reported in:
Mascheroni, G. and Olafsson, K. (2014). Net Children go Mobile: Risks and Opportunities (2nd edition).
More specifically, the report compares several key findings by countries. The aim is to highlight cross-national variations in five main areas (see below) and thus to provide a basis for further exploration of cross-cultural differences. These
five areas are:
• The adoption and use of smartphones.
• The consequences of smartphone use in terms of sociability and dependence.
• Online risks and harm.
• Parental mediation.
• School regulation and mediation

Due to the advent of the Internet, electronic business transactions have exploded around the globe. Along with the Internet, wireless technology has exponentially developed as well. Today, new technologies that allow mobile (cellular) phones and other handheld devices to access the Internet have made wireless business transactions possible. This phenomenon is known as mobile commerce or M-Commerce. It has been predicted that the number of mobile phones connected to the mobile Internet will exceed the number of Internet-connected PCs before 2007. The mobile phone will therefore become the most prevalent device for accessing the Internet. Several industry analysts predict that Mcommerce will constitute a multibillion dollar business by 2005. However, M-Commerce brings new challenges in providing information security as information travels through multiple networks often across wireless links. What must be done to secure financial transactions via mobile commerce? Generally speaking, M...
